Side marker lighting systems, methods of providing side marker lighting, and vehicles including the same are disclosed. A side marker lighting system includes a light emitting module having a plurality of light emitting diodes, a sensor module, and a master controller having instructions to receive data from the sensor module, where the data is indicative of a vehicle located in the vicinity of the side marker lighting system, determine that the vehicle is moving toward the system at an angle, determine location coordinates of the vehicle with respect to the system, determine a direction of light based on the location coordinates of the vehicle such that the direction of light is aimed at the vehicle, and direct the light emitting module to selectively activate the light emitting diodes such that the light emitting diodes produce a collective beam that corresponds to the first direction.

A vehicle lamp device includes an outer frame defining an accommodation space, a light shaping frame, a light-emitting unit, and a light distributing cover. The light shaping frame divides the accommodation space into scattering zones, having first and second light shaping regions spaced apart from each other. The light-emitting unit includes light-emitters aligned with the scattering zones. The light-emitters have first and second light-emitting modules for emitting light towards the first and second light shaping regions. The light distributing cover has lens portions aligned with the scattering zones, and allow illumination of light. Each lens portion has a first lens section that is aligned with the light shaping region of the respective scattering zone, and a second lens section that is aligned with the second light shaping region of the respective scattering zone. The first lens section has a lens curvature different from that of the second lens section.

A lighting device for a motor vehicle headlamp, including: a light module, a movable lower aperture element and a movable upper aperture element, a moving device for transferring the aperture elements between a closed position (P1) and an open position (P2) while maintaining spatial alignment of the aperture elements, and a frame on which the moving device is arranged. The lighting device has an alignment device for aligning the aperture elements relative to one another. The alignment device has an alignment element configured to engage in a guide element when the aperture elements are transferred from P2 to P1, so that the alignment element can be guided by the guide element into an end position in the guide element. The alignment element in P1 is connected to the guide element in a manner that the aperture elements are secured against movement along and transverse to the main direction in P1.
