Light modules for headlights
A light ring module may be used to customize headlights for any vehicle. A frame supports at least one LED or another light source and is mounted about a headlight on the vehicle. The light source may be directly hardwired into the vehicle power system or independently powered and controlled. The module may be made to fit any type of vehicle or, alternatively, a bezel may be made to support the module. Such a bezel would be compatible with a given vehicle with mounting points and methods according to the underlying structure. A bezel would also have a slot to support the light ring module and could, optionally, have a lens through which the light may shine.
Auxiliary spare tire brake light
An auxiliary spare tire brake light comprising: (a) a support having a central portion and a peripheral portion; (b) an array of elongated openings in the central portion of the support positioned and sized to fit over a plurality of different configurations of the lugs at the back of the vehicle for positioning the support on the lugs behind the rim of the spare tire; (c) a plurality of lights arrayed in a substantially continuous ring around the peripheral portion of the support; (d) a wire electrically connected to the plurality of lights; and (e) an electrical connector on the end of the wire threaded through a hole in the peripheral portion with the wire.
COMBINATION LED LAMPS
Various embodiments of a combination lamp are provided, which combine a plurality of different lamp functions in a unitary configuration, and can reduce the total amount of space taken up for at least substantially the same amount of illumination produced. The combination lamps can be configured for use on vehicles, light fixtures, free standing lamps, decorative articles, etc. In some embodiments, each lamp component may have a power connection element independent from the other lamp components.
Vehicle lamp
A vehicle lamp includes a light source mounted on a vehicle body and a light guide body for guiding light generated by the light source. On the light guide body, vertically to a light travelling direction, a plurality of notch-shaped portions are formed in line. The notch-shaped portions become narrow in pitch as the distance from the light source increases and are formed deeper as the distance from the light source increases. Preferably, the notch-shaped portions exhibit arc cross-sections having the same curvature radius, and the depths of the notch-shaped portions are specified by the central angles of the arc cross-sections.
Illumination device
An illumination device includes an optical waveguide having an optical waveguide start and an optical waveguide end. At least one light-emitting diode is assigned to the optical waveguide start. A light-absorbing element is arranged at the optical waveguide end. The light-absorbing element includes an adhesive bed with an adhesive. The adhesive of the adhesive bed has light-absorbing properties.
Vehicular lamp
A vehicular lamp including: a surface emitting light source including a front surface that includes a light-emitting surface, and a rear surface on the side opposite thereto; a transparent member including a light incident surface, a light exit surface from which light entering from the light incident surface exits, a light guide portion for guiding the light entering from the light incident surface to the light exit surface, and a holding portion for holding the surface emitting light source; and a light source that emits light which enters from the light incident surface, is guided to the light exit surface by the light guide portion, and exits from the light exit surface.
Aspherical lens module for a headlamp
Disclosed is an aspherical lens module of a vehicle headlamp configured such that a position light function is added to the existing functions of a low beam or high beam without increasing the size of the lamp module. Further, the aspherical lens module of a headlamp is configured such that the quantity of required light of a low beam or high beam is not reduced when the position light function is added to them.
Illuminated air catcher passage
An automotive vehicle includes a headlamp housing mounted to a body of the vehicle. An airflow opening extends through the headlamp housing. A light guide coupled to the housing forms a portion of an airflow passage extending from the airflow opening into an interior of the body of the vehicle. A surface of the light guide is etched with a design extending along a length of the airflow passage. An LED light generating unit is positioned adjacent an end of the light guide to pass light from the light generating unit through the light guide that illuminates the etched design.
