Vehicle light optical element, vehicle light module, vehicle headlight, and vehicle

A vehicle light optical element (VLOE) comprises a light incident portion, a transmission portion, and a light emitting portion sequentially arranged from back to front. The light incident portion comprises an illuminating light incident structure (ILIS) and at least one high-beam light incident structure (HBLIS), in which an illuminating light incident surface of the ILIS is adapted to receive auxiliary light during low-beam lighting. Alternatively, the light incident portion comprises an ILIS and at least one HBLIS, in which the ILIS is either a flat surface, a curved cylindrical body protruding backwards, a hemispherical body protruding backwards, or a light condensing structure. The ILIS is adapted to receive auxiliary lighting light during low-beam lighting. The ILIS is provided on the VLOE, such that when a vehicle light is in a low-beam lighting mode, the VLOE is also luminous, thereby improving the aesthetic appearance of the vehicle light.

Illumination apparatus having a coherent light source and diffraction optical device that has a plurality of diffraction zones and widens the width of the illumination zone

An illumination apparatus that illuminates an illumination zone having a first direction and a second direction crossing the first direction is provided with a light source to emit a coherent light beam, and a diffraction optical device to diffract the coherent light beam incident from the light source. The diffraction optical device diffracts the incident coherent light beam so that a width of the illumination zone in the second direction gradually becomes wider along the first direction of the illumination zone from a nearer side to the diffraction optical device.

Vehicle head lamp

Each of a pair of left and right vehicle head lamps includes a plurality of optical units in a lamp chamber. A variable light distribution type optical unit that changes a light distribution mode of a high beam depending on a surrounding state and a traveling state of a vehicle is disposed in a first vehicle head lamp on a passenger seat side, and a figure drawing optical unit capable of forming a desired figure on a road surface in front of the vehicle by emitted light is disposed at a position symmetrical to the variable light distribution type optical unit in a second vehicle head lamp on a driver seat side.

A composition includes 100 parts by weight of poly(alkylene terephthalate) and 0.01 to 2 part by weight of a compound represented by Formula (1), a partially saponified derivative thereof, or a combination thereof, (1) wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, and n are defined herein. The composition, which excludes copolymers of an unsubstituted or substituted styrene and an unsaturated nitrile, is useful for molding articles with very smooth surfaces. For example, the composition can be used to mold directly-metallizable substrates for automotive headlight reflectors and bezels.

METHOD AND CIRCUIT ARRANGEMENT FOR FEEDING A SERIES CIRCUIT OF N LED UNITS

A method and a circuit arrangement for feeding n LED units (LED1 to LED5) of a lighting unit of a motor vehicle by way of a controlled power source (5) from a voltage source (2) having a fluctuating operating voltage (U.sub.B), in which the LED units (LED1 to LED5) are interconnected, and in particular k LED units (LED1 to LED5) of a series connection are short-circuited, when the operating voltage (U.sub.B) drops, taking a stored weighting with respect to the priority assigned to individual LED units into consideration, wherein current continues to flow simultaneously through (n−k) LED units. A memory unit (7) for storing information about weightings on the priority of certain LED units is assigned to the control unit (3) for activating the power source, a switching matrix (4′, S.sub.1 to S.sub.4), and in particular a circuit arrangement composed of n controlled switches (S.sub.1 to S.sub.4) that each bypass the LED units (LED1 to LED4, LED5) is provided, and the control unit (3) is configured to compared the operating voltage and/or the current (I.sub.S) of the power source to predefinable threshold values and to interconnect the LED units as a function of this comparison and the weighting.

FRONT STRUCTURE OF SADDLE RIDE TYPE VEHICLE

A front structure of a saddle ride type vehicle includes a headlight unit, a front cowl, and a middle cowl. At a position outside the headlight unit in the vehicle width direction, an air intake portion opening to the front side of the vehicle is formed between the front cowl and the middle cowl.
