A light mount for mounting a light to a steering arm on an axle may include a bracket designed to attach to the steering arm, wherein the bracket and, thus, the light pod rotate with rotation of the steering arm. The bracket may include a mounting frame, wherein a first edge of the mounting frame is concavely curved and wherein a plurality of mounting orifices extend through the mounting frame; and a mounting plate extending substantially perpendicularly from an upper edge of the mounting frame, wherein the mounting plate has a mounting orifice extending therethrough, the mounting orifice being sized to accommodate a fastener extending from a light pod.

Vehicle surroundings object detection in low light conditions
11595587 · 2023-02-28 · ·

A method performed by a vision control system for supporting in low light conditions in surroundings of a moving vehicle, object detection by at least a first on-board rearward- and/or sideward-facing image capturing device. The vision control system captures a surrounding located rearward and/or sideward of the moving vehicle with support from the at least first image capturing device. The vision control system further determines light conditions in the surrounding. Moreover, the vision control system provides with support from at least a first light source, when the light conditions fulfill insufficient light criteria, a light output illuminating a ground region of the surrounding to facilitate object detection by the at least first image capturing device. The disclosure also relates to a vision control system, a vehicle comprising such a vision control system, and a respective corresponding computer readable storage medium.

Communication support device in vehicle

A communication support device in a vehicle, which has left and right round lights in a front end part of the vehicle, includes: left and right notification devices having ring-shaped light-emitting parts with changeable light-emitting regions while surrounding the left and right round lights respectively when viewed from a front; and a control device controlling light emission of the ring-shaped light-emitting part so that the light-emitting region of the ring-shaped light-emitting part changes according to an operating state of the vehicle. Accordingly, communication of intention in a notification mode as if there were eye contact with a person outside the vehicle can be easily achieved.

Rotatable light bar for motor vehicle sport bars
11479163 · 2022-10-25 · ·

A light bar for a motor vehicle has a plurality of lights mounted to an elongated support member is rotatably connected to opposing end walls of a rectangular frame. An offset cam is connected to the support member and moved by an actuating mechanism between a first and second position which cause the support member and lights to rotate about an axis to corresponding first and second positions. When the support frame and lights are in a first position they are shielded by and substantially enclosed by the sides and ends of the rectangular frame, and when in a second position the lights extend above and generally parallel to the rectangular frame to shine above and forward of the rectangular frame. A power switch energizes the actuating mechanism to move the lights and support member between the first and second positions.
