A light assembly for attachment to a surface. The light assembly includes a base configured to be coupled to the surface and a light head coupled to the base and including a light source. The light head is movable relative to the base from a predetermined position. The light assembly further includes a motor coupled to the base and the light head to move the light head relative to the base and a remote configured to control movement of the light head with respect to the base. The remote including an actuator operable to return the light head to the predetermined position.

Directional headlamp assembly
A directional headlamp assembly for independently directing light from a pair of headlamps includes a pair of headlamp modules and a controller. Each headlamp module replaces a respective headlamp of a pair of existing headlamps of a vehicle. The headlamp module comprises a first housing, which insertable of into an opening created upon removal of the respective headlamp, so that the first housing is engaged to the vehicle. A bulb is pivotally engaged to a front of the first housing. An actuator is engaged to and positioned in the first housing. The actuator is operationally engaged to the bulb. The controller is mountable within a passenger compartment of the vehicle so that it is accessible to a driver of the vehicle. The controller is independently and operationally engaged to each of the actuators and thus is positioned to selectively actuate each actuator to direct light emitted by an associated bulb.

The yoke retains an electrical component and the pan motor and tilt motor are in electrical communication with a controller remote from the fixed base.

The system includes at least one lighting member configured to illuminate at least one portion of a work area, an actuator coupled to the at least one lighting member and configured to position the at least one lighting member relative to the operator station, and a controller in communication with the actuator and configured to control positioning of the at least one lighting member via the actuator based on an operator control position and a position of the work tool.

A method and apparatus for an adaptable vehicle light fixture is provided to activate directional illumination aspects of the light fixture based upon sensed characteristics of the vehicle. The vehicle may automatically sense its position, speed, acceleration, heading and angular velocity and may command the light fixture to emit symmetric and/or asymmetric beam patterns based upon the sensed vehicle characteristics. Directional light incident upon the light fixture may also be detected to allow intensity control thereby reducing glare to oncoming traffic. A vehicle light fixture may be pre-configured with lenses and wirelessly programmed for manual and/or automatic operation that is responsive to the pre-configuration. A plurality of vehicles with light fixtures mounted thereon comprise a network of light fixtures that are manually or adaptively controlled as a group.
