Illumination device, in particular for a motor vehicle
An illumination device for a motor vehicle includes a multi-aperture projection display having a lighting means for illuminating a plurality of image segments and an array of projection lenses, where each projection lens is assigned an image segment, from the plurality of image segments, that is projected into a projection plane by way of a corresponding one of the projection lens, such that a light distribution is produced from all of the projected image segments in the projection plane. The array of projection lenses comprises a plurality of subarrays, where a respective subarray contains the same projection lenses and the projection lenses of different subarrays differ from one another such that each subarray generates a surface area in the light distribution and a size and/or a position of the generated surface areas varies between the plurality of subarrays.
Robot capable of detecting dangerous situation using artificial intelligence and method of operating the same
A robot for detecting a dangerous situation using artificial intelligence includes a memory configured to store a voice recognition model for inferring whether a current situation is the dangerous situation from voice data and an image recognition model for inferring whether the current situation is the dangerous situation from image data, and a processor configured to acquire one or more of the voice data or the image data and output a notification indicating the dangerous situation when the dangerous situation is detected from the voice data using the voice recognition model or when the dangerous situation is detected from the image data using the image recognition model.
Tailgate and cargo box illumination
A vehicle includes a cargo box including at least one side wall. A tailgate is coupled to the box and operable between open and closed positions. A light assembly is positioned in a vehicle rear portion of the at least one side wall. A box light is configured to emit light into the box and a puddle lamp is configured to emit light in a vehicle rearward direction.
ROAD SURFACE ILLUMINATION APPARATUS
Because a road surface illumination apparatus is configured so as to include a vehicle state detector 3 configured to detect the traveling direction of a vehicle on the basis of vehicle information acquired by a vehicle information acquisition unit 2, and an illumination pattern selector 4 to select an illumination pattern expressing the traveling direction detected by the vehicle state detector 3 from among illumination patterns held therein and provided for traveling directions, and to cause an illumination device 7 to illuminate at least a road surface in a direction different from the traveling direction with the selected illumination pattern, the road surface illumination apparatus can provide a notification of the traveling direction of the vehicle intuitively to persons outside the vehicle who are existing in the direction other than the traveling direction.
External light module for a vehicle
An exterior assembly component for a vehicle and a manufacturing method thereof, where the component is in the form of an exterior mirror, door handle, door sill, skirt or similar, the component including a light module having at least one lamp emitting visible light toward the outside, and a plug to supply the lamp with electrical energy, where the light module represents a separate component of the assembly component which can be mounted on the assembly component and wherein the plug is designed as a single part with the a case of the light module.
Tailgate illumination system
An illumination system for a vehicle includes a truck bed defining a cargo space, a bumper positioned vehicle rearward of the truck bed, and a tailgate defining a recessed surface and rotatable between substantially open and substantially closed positions. A first optically interactive portion is positioned on the truck bed and a second optically interactive portion is positioned on the tailgate. A light source is positioned on the recessed surface of the tailgate. The light source and the first and second optically interactive surfaces are configured to illuminate the cargo space when the tailgate is in the substantially open position and illuminate the bumper when the tailgate is in the substantially closed position.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VEHICLE SYSTEM DIAGNOSTICS, REPORTING, AND DOT COMPLIANCE
Systems and methods of providing a DOT Lighting monitor that automatically detects when any of the exterior lights on a commercial motor vehicle fails/burns out and that alerts the driver to which one(s) is affected is provided. Each required light is monitored, and a state of an indicator corresponding to that required light is changed to notify an operator of a failure thereof.
Auxiliary lighting roof rack
A roof rack assembly is provided herein. A pair of support racks are provided on a roof structure of a vehicle. A first light source is coupled to each of the support racks and is disposed to downwardly project a light beam across a hood of the vehicle. A second light source is coupled to each of the support racks and is disposed to downwardly project a light beam to illuminate a corresponding ground area proximate a corner of the vehicle. A third light source is coupled to each of the support racks and is disposed to downwardly project a light beam to illuminate a corresponding ground area proximate a door of the vehicle.
Interior side marker
A vehicle includes a seat assembly having a seatback and a seat base. A side marker is positioned on the seat base. A light assembly is configured to emit light toward the side marker. The side marker emits light to an exterior of the vehicle when the vehicle is in a doors off configuration.
HAZARD CONDITION WARNING FOR PACKAGE DELIVERY OPERATION
Systems and methods for administering a hazard condition warning during a package delivery operation are provided. The system may include one or more sensors, e.g., radar sensors, ultrasonic sensors, or cameras, configured to detect a hazard condition in a vicinity of a delivery vehicle and to generate data indicative of the hazard condition. The system further includes an operator sensor configured to detect a location of an operator of the delivery vehicle relative to the delivery vehicle, and one or more indicators, e.g., lights, a mobile application installed on a mobile phone, or an HMI of the vehicle, configured to generate an alert corresponding to the hazard condition. A processor of the system may determine whether the hazard condition is present based on the data indicative of the hazard condition from the one or more sensors, and cause, based on a presence of the hazard condition and the detected location of the operator relative to the delivery vehicle, the one or more indicators to generate the alert.
