A SAFETY DEVICE
A safety device (2) for a motor vehicle (4) comprising a surface (6) of or mounted to the motor vehicle (4), which surface is arranged to transmit a warning signal towards oncoming other vehicles.
OPTOELECTRONIC DEVICE
An optoelectronic device comprises a layer stack, which includes a carrier layer, a cover layer, and a first layer. The first layer is in particular an intermediate layer, arranged between the cover layer and the carrier layer. At least one electronic or optoelectronic element, in particular an optoelectronic light source, is arranged on the first layer and at least one layer of the layer stack and preferably all layers of the layer stack are at least partially transparent. The layer stack comprises at least one layer which comprises particles with a high thermal conductivity and/or at least one thermally conductive layer which is arranged between two adjacent layers of the layer stack.
ORGANIC LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE, DISPLAY APPARATUS, PHOTOELECTRIC CONVERSION APPARATUS, ILLUMINATION APPARATUS, AND MOVING OBJECT
An organic light emitting device including a pair of electrodes and an organic compound layer disposed between the pair of electrodes, wherein the organic compound layer contains, in a weight ratio of 50 wt % or more, an organic compound having a glass transition temperature of 130° C. or more, and the organic compound does not have a moiety represented by formula [1] below,
##STR00001##
where, in formula [1], *'s represent bonding positions.
Luminous motor-vehicle glazing unit
A light glazing for a motor vehicle includes a first transparent sheet, a masking zone with a first unmasked zone, a first light source, coupled optically to a transparent element, called light guide, a first extraction device for extracting light guided in the light guide, the first light extraction device being opposite the first unmasked zone so that one or more of the illuminated patterns are visible on the side of the second main face, on the second main face side, an opaque rear masking element, covering the first light extraction device, the first light extraction device being between the second main face and the rear masking element.
Illuminated graphic in an automotive plastic glazing
A plastic glazing of a window of a vehicle having a light feature includes a first vehicle window glazing component, a second vehicle window glazing component molded onto the first vehicle window glazing component, and a light unit configured to produce light for the light feature. The light unit being integrated with at least one of the following: the first vehicle window glazing component and the second vehicle window glazing component. The light unit further configured to direct the light for the light feature through or from at least one of the following: the first vehicle window glazing component and the second vehicle window glazing component. The plastic glazing is a one-piece molded plastic construction. At least one of the first vehicle window glazing component and the second vehicle window glazing component is translucent or transparent.
ADAPTIVE INTERACTION SYSTEM WITH OTHER ROAD USERS
A system and method for operating an automated vehicle. A sensor is configured to monitor an ORU (other road user) external to the automated vehicle thereby identifying the ORU with respect to the automated vehicle. A processor determines a state of the ORU and a context of the ORU and communicates a message to the ORU based on the determined state of the ORU and the context of the ORU.
Exterior lighting
Light-based devices may be provided that emit light. The light-based devices may be incorporated into systems such as vehicles. The light-based devices may include light sources such as light-emitting diodes and lasers. Mirrors may be used to collimate light from the light sources. Light modulators may be used to pattern light from the light sources. The light sources may include light sources of different colors. Arrays of pixels may be used to provide dynamically varying patterns of emitted light. A light source may produce light that is diffracted by an array of diffractive elements on a window. Mechanical and electrical shutters may obscure light sources, mirrors, and light-emitting components mounted on windows.
Composite pane with a display device
A composite pane for a motor vehicle, includes an outer pane and an inner pane, which are joined to one another via a thermoplastic intermediate layer, and a display device for displaying optical status information with at least one light source, which emits light for generating optical status information, wherein the composite pane is connected to a receiver unit for wirelessly receiving status information of a control system, the light source is provided for reproducing the status information of the control system and is arranged in the composite pane in the intermediate layer between the outer pane and the inner pane.
Bus with a safety lighting system for road users
A vehicle, such as an articulated bus, includes a lighting system with a light emitting surface. The lighting system being configured for displaying a first lighting configuration and a second lighting configuration. The first lighting configuration and the second lighting configuration are displayed by different proportions of the light emitting surface. The vehicle further receives a monitoring device with a position monitoring module configured for monitoring the position of a road user with respect to the vehicle. The lighting system being further configured for switching from the first lighting configuration to the second lighting configuration depending on the position of the road user with respect to the vehicle. A corresponding monitoring process is further provided.
Mount for inverted light
A mount for inverted light has a back, two spaced apart feet beneath the back, two tabs outwardly from the back, each tab having two pieces, an arcuate shroud opposite the back and an adjustment mechanism for the tabs. Opposite the back, the feet and tabs have a low friction surface limiting engagement of the mount with door glass. The adjustment mechanism includes knobs turning rack pinion gearing and knobs ratcheting one piece of a tab outwardly from the other. Beneath the shroud, the mount has two rests that receive a light attached to them aimed downward from the shroud. The mount has an elongated form for a generally centered position along the width of a door's window.
