Glazing with a light guide laminate stack
A vehicle glazing (10) wherein a light guide stack (22) is located between a portion of the inner transparency (26) and the outer transparency (28). The light guide stack includes a polycarbonate film (32) that is bonded to the transparencies by layers of PET (38, 40) that are secured to the polycarbonate film on one side by silicone (34, 36) and that are secured to the transparencies on the other side by PVB (42, 44). The terminal end of an extending tab of the polycarbonate film forms an edge that is connected to a light bar (14) that such visible light propagates through the light bar and into the polycarbonate film through the edge. Visible light propagates through etchings in the smooth surface of the polycarbonate film to form an image. An extension of one of the transparencies protects the polycarbonate tab and supports the light bar during installation of the glazing into the vehicle portal.
DANGEROUS SITUATION NOTIFICATION ASSEMBLY FOR WINDOW SHADE DEVICE OF VEHICLE AND DANGEROUS SITUATION NOTIFICATION ASSEMBLY FOR REAR WINDOW OF VEHICLE
The present disclosure relates to a dangerous situation notification assembly for a window shade device of a vehicle and a dangerous situation notification assembly for a rear window of a vehicle. A dangerous situation notification assembly for a window shade device for vehicles, according to the present disclosure, which has a shade provided on any one of upper and lower sides of a rear window and reciprocates between a shading position where the rear window is shaded and a rolling position where the shade is rolled from the shading position, comprises: a dangerous situation notification unit which is arranged in the shade and selectively emits light at the shading position of the shade to output a dangerous situation; and a light source unit which is adjacent to the shade and supplies light to the dangerous situation notification unit so that the dangerous situation notification unit selectively emits light.
Courtesy flag
A signaling device for defining a space between parked vehicles. The signaling device comprises a vehicle attachment component, an extendable component, and a warning component. The vehicle attachment component is configured to engage a vehicle window. The extendable component comprises rotatable and telescoping arms for defining the space between the vehicles when the rotatable and telescoping arms are extended. The warning component alerts others of the defined space. A method of using the signaling device to define a space between parked vehicles is also disclosed.
LIGHT STRIP DEVICE FOR A DOOR LEAF OF A BOARDING SYSTEM OF A RAIL VEHICLE
A light strip device to be secured on or in a window jamb of a window opening of a door leaf of a rail vehicle boarding system in a nondestructively releasable manner, wherein the window opening has a window pane. The light strip device has at least: a) one light strip which is provided with a number of light sources arranged in a mutually spaced manner in rows, and b) one holding and installation profile in which the at least one light strip can be received and which is provided with an attachment to the window jamb, wherein c) the holding and installation profile has at least one light through-opening such that light generated by the light sources can penetrate the light through-openings, and the holding and installation profile is opaque with the exception of the light through-openings or d) the holding and installation profile is at least partly transparent.
Method of manufacturing vehicle rear module, vehicle back door, vehicle rear module, and vehicle module
A method for producing a vehicle rear module that includes: a clear member monolithically including a lamp section and a window section; and a colored member for shielding at least part of a vehicle interior from the exterior. The method for producing the vehicle rear module comprises: a step for injecting a transparent resin from a single resin injection hole into a first cavity to form the clear member; and a step for injecting a colored resin from a plurality of resin injection holes into a second cavity to form the colored member.
Glass fastening and sealing systems
A glass fastening system includes a glass portion, a support structure defining a recess, a first adhesive layer disposed on an exterior surface of the glass portion facing the recess in the support structure, a second adhesive layer disposed within the recess of the support structure, and a fastener having a first portion secured to the first adhesive layer and a second portion extending away from the first portion and into the second adhesive layer to secure the glass portion to the support structure.
LIGHTING SYSTEM LAMINATED INTO GLASSES USING MICROLEDS AND LENS
A vehicle includes a window having a lighting system therein. The lighting system includes a layer of an optical medium, a light source and a lens array. The layer of the optical medium has a first interface and a second interface. The light source emits a light ray that is incident at the first interface and travels through the optical medium to exit the optical medium at the second interface. The lens array is configured to reduce an occurrence of total internal reflection of the light ray at the second interface.
Accessory optical path translator
A lighting system for specialty lighting, which may be attached to a motor vehicle with a window (e.g., glass, plastic, etc.) that is light transmissive. The lighting system may include one or more light assemblies attached to the window in an interior of the vehicle. The lighting system may include an optical path translator to direct the light emitted out the window of the vehicle and limit the amount of light reflected into the cabin of the vehicle. The lighting system may provide concealed electrical connections for power, signal, and data, as well as concealment for one or more additional aspects of the lighting system.
VEHICULAR REAR WINDOW ASSEMBLY WITH SYSTEM STATUS INDICATOR
A vehicular rear window assembly includes a fixed window panel and an indicating device having a plurality of light sources. The vehicular rear window assembly is configured to be disposed at a rear portion of a cabin of a vehicle. The indicating device is disposed at the fixed window panel. With the vehicular rear window assembly disposed at the rear portion of the cabin of the vehicle, the light sources, when electrically powered to emit light, emit light that is visible through the window panel so as to be viewable by a person viewing the vehicular rear window assembly from exterior and rearward of the vehicle. The indicating device is operated responsive to at least one system of the vehicle. Responsive to an output of the at least one system, the indicating device adjusts operation of the light sources to indicate a status of the at least one system.
