A required weld strength is ensured even when the shape of a first resin member is formed in a desired design shape. A lamp lens and a lamp housing are provided. The lamp lens and the lamp housing are fixed to each other by welding under pressure. The lamp lens includes a body portion, a leg portion, and a welding portion. As a result, a required weld strength is ensured even when the shape of the body portion of the lamp lens is shaped in a desired design shape.

VEHICLE LAMP ASSEMBLY

A light pipe for a vehicle lamp assembly includes a first pipe portion and a second pipe portion. The first pipe portion has a first section that extends between a first end and a second end. A portion of the first section at least partially defines an intersection area. The first pipe portion defines a first optical path extending in a lengthwise direction of the first pipe portion. The second pipe portion has a second section that extends through the intersection area. The second pipe portion defines a second optical path. The second optical path intersects with and extends through the first optical path of the first pipe portion such that the first section and the second section define an angle greater than zero degrees and less than 180 degrees therebetween. The first pipe portion and the second pipe portion a unitarily formed as a single monolithic element.

Tail lamp assembly with optic illumination

A vehicular lamp assembly, a vehicle and a method of providing illumination of a vehicular tail lamp. The assembly includes a combination lamp, lid lamp and one or more optic elements. The combination lamp has a first outer lens and one or more light sources disposed on an inward-facing side of the first outer lens. The lid lamp includes a second outer lens and a reflective element disposed on an inward-facing side of the second outer lens. The optic element is signally cooperative with the light source to convey at least a portion of its direct beam pattern to the reflective element which subsequently redirects a reflected portion into an indirect beam pattern through the lid lamp outer lens. In this way, the light source or sources may be housed solely within a region defined by the combination lamp while giving the appearance of illumination coming from both the combination lamp and the lid lamp.

Provided is a lighting tool for a vehicle including a first power supply, and a lamp for a vehicle operated with electric power supplied from the first power supply, a detection unit that detects a waveform of first electric power, a generation unit that generates a first control signal that is a signal controlling the lamp for a vehicle according to the waveform of the detected first electric power, an output control unit that superimposes the first control signal on the first electric power and wirelessly transmit the signal obtained by the superimposition from a power transmission section, a conversion unit that acquires a second control signal based on the signal received by a power receiving section that receives the signal wirelessly transmitted from the power transmission section, and a lamp control unit that controls the lamp for a vehicle according to the second control signal.

Vehicle light assembly with photon recycling

A vehicle light assembly comprising a light chamber secured to a vehicle member. The chamber includes a partially transmissive lens and an interior. The interior includes a plurality of isotropically luminant surfaces and a substantially reflective surface. Further, the vehicle light assembly includes a light source arranged within the light chamber, and the light source is substantially oriented to emanate light that initially strikes the substantially reflective surface, propagates within the chamber along the isotropically luminant surfaces, and exits the chamber through the lens.

Illumination device

An illumination device includes: an elongated light guide; a first light source; a second light source; and a controller. A first increase beginning time point at which the brightness of the first light source begins to increase from zero is prior to a second increase beginning time point at which the brightness of the second light source begins to increase from zero. A first increase finish time point at which the brightness of the first light source finishes increasing to the first set brightness is simultaneous with or prior to a second increase finish time point at which the brightness of the second light source finishes increasing to the second set brightness. A time from the first increase beginning time point to the second increase finish time point is not more than 0.2 seconds.

Illuminated bulb seal

A system according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a seal having a compressible bulb to provide sealing between a vehicle flange and a moveable panel, and a channel formed in an exterior surface of the bulb.
