Vehicle lighting structure with first lamp assembly fixed to vehicle body and second lamp assembly fixed to trunk lid that align with one another with trunk lid closed
A first lamp assembly has a first side surface with a first light passage and a hollow interior with a first light dispersing member disposed therein. The first light dispersing member is positioned to receive light emitted through the first light passage and emit light received via the first light passage. The second lamp assembly has a hollow interior with a first lighting device disposed therein, and a second side surface with a second light passage. The first lighting device is positioned to emit light through the second light passage, such that when the second light passage and the first light passage are adjacent to one another with the first and second light passages being aligned, and with the first lighting device operating, the first lighting device emits light through the second light passage into the second light passage illuminating the first light dispersing member within the first lamp assembly.
ILLUMINATION DEVICE
An illumination device includes: an elongated light guide; a first light source; a second light source; and a controller. A first increase beginning time point at which the brightness of the first light source begins to increase from zero is prior to a second increase beginning time point at which the brightness of the second light source begins to increase from zero. A first increase finish time point at which the brightness of the first light source finishes increasing to the first set brightness is simultaneous with or prior to a second increase finish time point at which the brightness of the second light source finishes increasing to the second set brightness. A time from the first increase beginning time point to the second increase finish time point is not more than 0.2 seconds.
Tail lamp assembly for a vehicle
A tail lamp assembly is provided to include a tail lamp and a tailgate lamp. The tail lamp assembly replaces the original taillights of a vehicle with the tail lamp, which is embedded in the rear side plate of the vehicle, whereas the tailgate lamp is attached to the tailgate of the vehicle. The tail lamp is directly controlled by the vehicle to selectively provide specific warning signals. The tailgate lamp is disposed on a surface of the tailgate, extending from the tail lamp at the position within a certain distance from the tail lamp. A light channel or electric channel is selectively established between the tail lamp and the tailgate lamp to link and synchronize the tailgate lamp with the tail lamp, so that the tailgate lamp provides specific warning signals accordingly.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EXTERIOR REAR LAMP ALIGNMENT
An apparatus, according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a first panel with a first alignment feature, a first lamp installed on the first panel, a second panel adjacent the first panel and including a second alignment feature, and a second lamp installed on the second panel. A lift system moves the first and second lamps to respectively engage the first and second alignment features and align the first and second lamps. A method according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a step of aligning the first and second lamps with each other by independently moving the first and second lamps to respectively engage the first and second alignment features.
Vehicle lighting device and method
A vehicle lamp can include first and second lamp units or portions that each have a light emission portion that extends across a gap between two vehicle body portions, such as a door panel, quarter panel, trunk lid, etc. The first and second lamp units/portions can be configured such that it appears that the vehicle lamp extends seamlessly and without detectable lighting variation across the gap between vehicle body portions.
Vehicle lighting structure
A first lamp assembly has a first attachment surface, a first transparent surface, a first side surface extending from the first transparent surface to the first attachment surface, and a first lighting member positioned to emit light through a portion of the first side surface. A second lamp assembly has a second attachment surface, a second transparent surface opposite the second attachment surface and a second side surface extending from the second transparent surface to the second attachment surface. The second side surface has a first projection extending therefrom that defines a first light deflecting surface such that when the second side surface and the first side surface are adjacent to one another with the light deflecting surface and first lighting member being aligned, the first light deflecting surface reflects and disperses light in a first area between the first lamp assembly and the second lamp assembly.
LIFT GATE LIGHTING SYSTEM WITH REMOTE LIGHT SOURCE
A lighting system for a lift gate of a vehicle is provided. The lighting system includes a light source that emits at least a first light beam. The light source is coupled to the vehicle at a first location remote from the lift gate. The lighting system includes an optical system coupled to the lift gate having a first optic member aligned with the light source that receives the first light beam. The optical system is illuminated by the light source at the first location remote from the lift gate.
Vehicle door
The present disclosure provides a backlift type vehicle door provided at a vehicle body rear portion including: an outer panel that is curved such that a vehicle width direction middle portion is disposed further toward a vehicle outer side than two vehicle width direction end portions; a lamp fitting recess portion, formed by the outer panel being recessed, into which a rear lamp is to be fitted, and in which plural connection portions at which the rear lamp is to be connected are formed in a floor wall of the lamp fitting recess portion; and a water-retaining recess portion, formed in the floor wall at a vehicle width direction outer side relative to a connection portion that is disposed furthest to the vehicle width direction outer side, and is recessed further toward the vehicle inner side than the connection portion.
Vehicle lighting device for illuminating in a first and second direction
A vehicle lighting device includes a light source and a light guiding lens guiding light from the light source to make the light exit from a light exit in a front part thereof. The light exit of the light guiding lens includes a first light exit surface through which the light is made to exit in a first illuminating direction and a second light exit surface disposed adjacent to the first light exit surface in a front view and through which the light is made to exit in a forward direction. A reflector is disposed in front of the second light exit surface such that the reflector covers the second light exit surface and reflects the light, which is made to exit through the second light exit surface, in a second illuminating direction different from the first illuminating direction.
