Systems, Methods and Apparatuses for Enhanced Warning Using Laser Diodes for Commercial Vehicle Applications
Apparatuses and methods to project lighting in a physical space adjacent to a vehicle are disclosed. In one aspect, embodiments of the present disclosure include a method, which may be implemented on a system, to decorate a physical target. The apparatus can further include a light source and/or a lens system optically coupled to the light source, wherein, in operation the lens system is adapted to focus or disperse the lighting to illuminate the physical space based on at least one of a position of the physical space relative to the commercial vehicle and an area of the physical space. In general, the light source can include a semiconductor lighting emitting device.
DEVICE FOR DETERMINING POSITION OF LIFTGATE OR REAR DOOR OF A CARGO TRUCK OR TRAILER
A device for determining the position of a rear door or liftgate of a cargo truck or trailer includes a base attachable to the rear door or liftgate. A visual indicator extends from the base so as to be viewable from a side view mirror of the truck to enable a driver of the truck to determine the position of the rear door or liftgate due to the position of the visual indicator. The visual indicator may be a plurality of closely spaced apart elongated members, which may be brightly colored or light transmissive so as to be easily seen.
Lighted loading ramp
A loading ramp includes first and second ramp portions that are coupled by a hinge assembly such that the first and second ramp portions are movable relative to one another between an extended position and a folded position. The loading ramp also has one or more lights coupled to one of the ramp portions and a switch assembly coupled to the ramp portions such that in the extend position the switch assembly is activated to illuminate the one or more lights.
Assemblies for illuminating chain slots on a trailer
A kit for illuminating chain slots on a trailer includes a plurality of brackets, each having a first arm and a second arm. The second arm is oriented at an angle to the first arm and has a mounting area. A tool is provided for positioning a bracket adjacent a respective chain slot on the trailer and for holding the bracket in place adjacent the chain slot until the bracket is attached to the trailer. The tool has a portion configured to engage with the mounting area of the bracket. Lights are also provided, each light configured to be attached to a respective mounting area of the bracket after the bracket has been attached to the trailer and the portion of the tool has been disengaged from the mounting area. An electrical conductor is configured to connect the plurality of lights to an electrical wiring harness of the trailer.
Truck bed lighting assemblies
A vehicle includes a truck bed and a lighting assembly configured to illuminate the truck bed. The lighting assembly includes a light source, a collimator positioned in front of the light source, and an outer lens positioned in front of the collimator. The collimator and the outer lens establish a lens arrangement having a unitary body. The light generated by the light source is collected within the collimator and is directed at a downward angle toward a floor of the truck bed by the outer lens.
Articulating tailgate
A tailgate assembly including at least two tailgate panels that both move between a closed position, a plurality of intermediate open positions, and a fully open position, where the tailgate panels selectively separate and articulate from the back of the cargo bed to the sides of the cargo bed. The tailgate panels move out of the way to provide direct access to the cargo area floor. The tailgate panels articulate in a small envelope of space, improving access to the rear in a confined space at the rear of the vehicle and reducing the risk of contacting objects that may be behind the vehicle.
Truck tailgate system
A vehicle includes a truck bed and an extruded tailgate that is rotatably secured to the bed. The extruded tailgate forms laterally extending internal, external, upper, and lower panels. The exterior surfaces of each of the internal, upper, and lower panels define T-slots that are configured to receive accessory components.
ARTICULATING TAILGATE
A tailgate assembly including at least two tailate panels that both move between a closed position, a plurality of intermediate open positions, and a fully open position, where the tailgate panels selectively separate and articulate from the back of the cargo bed to the sides of the cargo bed. The tailate panels move out of the way to provide direct access to the cargo area floor. The tailate panels articulate in a small envelope of space, improving access to the rear in a confined space at the rear of the vehicle and reducing the risk of contacting objects that may be behind the vehicle.
