GRAPHIC LUMINOUS DEVICE
20190039510 · 2019-02-07 ·

A graphic luminous device includes a lamp holder, a light source disposed at one side of the lamp holder, a light-guiding board disposed on the lamp holder receiving a light from the light source to guide upward, a diffusion film disposed on the light-guiding board, a shielding board and an outer housing. The diffusion film is used to uniform the light from the light-guiding board. The present disclosure utilizes the opaque second graphic segment on the outer housing and the light-penetrable first graphic segment on the shielding board to be overlapped to produce a contour luminous effect. The second graphic segment is smaller than the first graphic segment, and the second graphic segment is matched with the first graphic segment. In another way, the shielding board is formed with the first graphic segment and the second graphic segment, to produce a contour light-penetrable effect.

COMPONENT COMPRISING A FLAT DECORATIVE ELEMENT AND HOUSING

A component (1) is disclosed. The component (1) comprises at least one flat decorative element (2) having a visible side (3) and a back side (4), at least one layer (5, 5) having a front side (6) and a back side (7), which layer is arranged on the back side (4) of the flat decorative element (2), wherein the front side (6) faces the back side (4) of the flat decorative element (2), at least one housing (8) having an inner side (9) and an outer side (10), wherein the inner side (9) faces the back side (7) of the layer (5), wherein the housing (8) is made of a material which has a hardness that is different from the hardness of a material of which the layer (5, 5) is made, and wherein the housing (8) engages in at least one recess (26) arranged in the layer (5, 5) and/or the layer (5, 5) engages in at least one recess arranged in the housing (8).

LIGHT ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICLE AND METHOD OF FORMING THE SAME

A light assembly for a motor vehicle according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a light source, and a lens arrangement configured to direct light from the light source in a first direction toward a running board and a second direction away from the vehicle. A method is also disclosed.

Running board illumination system with passive marker light glow

A running board illumination system is provided for a motor vehicle. That running board illumination system includes a first illumination element and an optical lens for directing light emitted by the first illumination element onto a running board of the motor vehicle. That optical lens may further include a fluorescent coating to provide a passive marker light glow when the first illumination element is extinguished.

VEHICLE DISPLAY ASSEMBLY

A vehicle display assembly may comprise a transparent element defining a viewing surface, a display element disposed behind the transparent element, and a printed circuit board in electrical communication with the display element. The display element is configured to generate an image visible through the transparent element. The vehicle display assembly may be in communication with at least one of a vehicle sensor and a vehicle computer. The images appearing in the display element may change orientation based on the presence or absence of a vehicle occupant.

Illuminated running board

A vehicle includes a running board operable between deployed and undeployed positions. The running board includes a light source. An energy storage device is electrically coupled to the light source. An inductive receiving coil is electrically coupled to the energy storage device. A transmitting coil is positioned proximate an exterior surface of the vehicle. The transmitting coil is configured to transmit a magnetic field to the receiver coil.

A door frame for a vehicle includes a holographic door sill panel in a lower door frame portion, a suitable lighting assembly in a lateral door frame portion, a holographic door sill panel suitable for such a door frame, as well as a system that is composed of the holographic door sill panel and the lighting assembly and suitable for such a door frame.

ILLUMINATION DEVICE FOR A VEHICLE
20180222380 · 2018-08-09 ·

An illumination device that includes an elongated light pipe and attachment wings integrally formed on the sides of the light pipe so that the illumination device can be easily, yet securely, installed within a containment channel, such as those found on the underside of a vehicle step rail. The elongated light pipe is made of an optically transmissive material, the attachment wings are made of a different resilient material, and the overall device is a single extruded component that has a co-extrusion boundary separating the two materials. The illumination device illuminates the ground, for example, when passengers are entering or exiting the vehicle.

Clip unit and edge mounted light emitting diode (LED) assembly comprising a clip unit

A clip unit and an edge mount light emitting diode (LED) assembly comprising a clip unit. The clip unit provides a mounting structure for mounting a light source, such as an LED, to an edge of a printed circuit board (PCB). A surface mount LED, for example, can thus be easily mounted to the edge of the PCB so as to project light in a direction normal to the edge surface of the PCB, instead of the typical mounting orientation that allows for the projection of light normal to the primary surface of the PCB. The clip unit includes an anode retention clip and a cathode retention clip which are electrically isolated from one another within an insulative housing portion.
