MOTOR VEHICLE JACK POSITIONING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A motor vehicle jack positioning system includes a light source located adjacent a jack point for the motor vehicle and a controller configured to activate the light source in response to a data signal representative of a triggering event.
LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE FOR AUTOMOBILE WHEEL
A light emitting device for an automobile wheel, is capable of generating electrical energy through torque of an automobile wheel, illuminating an advertisement member using the generated electrical energy, and controlling the advertisement member to display advertisement contents at a correct posture without being tilted in response to a reverse magnetic field generated during the electricity generation process.
Thermoluminescent Tire Safety Indicator Structure
A thermoluminescent tire safety indicator structure includes a vehicle wheel and at least one luminescent indicator. The vehicle wheel includes a tire and a wheel disk. The luminescent indicator includes a styling pattern formed on the tire and/or the wheel disk and a thermoluminescent coating layer provided on the styling pattern. The thermoluminescent coating layer includes compounds with nano-scale thermoluminescent crystals and thermosetting polyester resins. The thermoluminescent coating layer on the vehicle wheel fluoresces for aesthetics as well as safety and warning effects when temperature on the tire and/or the wheel disk of a running vehicle increases.
ILLUMINATION DEVICE FOR A VEHICLE AND METHOD
The disclosure is directed to an illumination device for a ground-riding vehicle where combination of location of non-rotating light and transparent portions' configuration of the hubcap are configured to form penumbra of a predetermined pattern on an area adjacent to the ground-riding vehicle, to a predetermined size.
Illuminated vehicle wheel
A lighting module has axial screws that extend axially rearwardly from a rearward surface of the module base and are respectively received in hollow screw bores extending axially rearwardly from a module mounting face of a vehicle wheel. A wheel that receives the lighting module has an axially inwardly facing sidewall into which are formed plural hollow bolt receivers. For each such bolt receiver, a keyed lock assembly having a radial bolt is provided within the body of the module. The bolt is operable to extend radially outwardly through a module bolt hole to a locked position within a respective wheel rim bolt receiver, locking the module to the wheel, and to be retracted radially inwardly to an unlocked position. A transparent cover of the lighting module protects plural LEDs mounted on a forward face of a circuit board.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING ILLUMINATION OF CENTER CAPS IN VEHICLE WHEELS
A system includes a wheel including a center cap having a first portion configured to rotate with the wheel and a second portion configured to remain stationary. The second portion includes a light source and a power storage module. The system further includes a generator configured to generate power and output the power to at least the power storage module, a power converter coupled between the power storage module and the light source, and a control module. The control module is configured to receive a signal indicative of a key associated with the vehicle being within a defined distance, and in response to receiving the signal, control the power converter to output the power generated by the generator and stored in the power storage module to the light source. Other examples systems and methods for controlling a light source in a wheel of a vehicle are also disclosed.
Advanced reflective tire marking system for use as a warning indication to highlight the width of large vehicles
The present disclosure provides a reflective tire marking system for use as a warning indication to highlight the width of large vehicles, the system including a reflective tire marking inserted into an outer edge of a tire lug, wherein the reflective tire marking is made of a reflective rubber.
Vehicle wheel-based power generation and display systems
A power generation system is provided configured for installation within a wheel of a vehicle. The system includes a stator having a plurality of face-mounted permanent magnets; and a rotor having a plurality of windings configured to rotate, with rotation of the wheel, in proximity to the permanent magnets thereby generating a current. The stator is mounted to a brake caliper of the vehicle. Also provided is a wheel-based vehicle display system including a light emitting diode (LED) array arranged on or within a wheel of a vehicle; a power source connected thereto; and a controller connected to the LED array. The display system is configured to display at least one of: textual information, visual images or full-motion video.
SYSTEM PROVIDING LIGHTING TO VEHICLE WHEELS AND RIMS
A wheel includes illumination built into the wheel, such as one or more LEDs disposed within the wheel itself. Unlike add-one lighting accessories, the LEDs may be integrated with the wheel to avoid disconnection from the wheel. The wheels can include a centrally located power supply and a switch. An optional cover may be disposed over the wheel. With the LEDs formed into the wheel, the optional covers may be flush with and shaped in a shape to match the wheel. The wheels may be wheels from cars, trucks, trailers, recreational vehicles, all-terrain vehicles, motorcycles and the like. When the wheel may be visible from both sides, as in the case with motorcycles, the LEDs may be disposed and integrated in both sides of the wheel.
BICYCLE LIGHTING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and methods for providing adequate lighting and sighting for a bicycle are disclosed. A lighting system that includes an illumination ring configured to be coupled to a wheel is also disclosed. The illumination ring is configured to simultaneously project light forward and to the side of a front wheel and to project light rearward of and to the side of a rear wheel. The illumination ring may be mounted to or integrated with the bicycle wheel. Methods of controlling light sources on the illumination ring are also disclosed. The lighting system can include an inductor module 5320 for powering lights of the illumination ring.
