APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING VEHICLE BRAKING AND METHOD USING THE SAME
20170158176 · 2017-06-08 ·

An apparatus and method are provided for determining a vehicle braking. The apparatus includes a braking light switch that generates a switch on signal or a switch off signal, corresponding to a brake operation of a vehicle. A sensor senses a pressure that corresponds to the brake operation and generates a pressure value that corresponds to the sensed pressure. A controller determines an operation of a brake based on the switch on signal, the switch off signal, and the pressure value, that are transmitted and also determines the brake to be operated when the switch on signal is received, or the pressure value is greater than a predetermined threshold pressure.

Push switch

In an initial state where a push rod is pressed down, a base of a movable contact point board supporting a movable contact point makes contact with inclined protruding portions of a moving block by a second spring to be inclined. When the movable contact point makes contact with a fixed contact point following the projecting of the push rod, the base makes contact with stoppers. Thereafter, since the moving block alone rises, the movable contact point board rotates following the end edges of the stoppers according to release of the pressing by the protruding portion. Thereby the movable contact point largely slides and is displaced to the fixed contact point.

A brake light sensor module includes: a retainer which is provided to move together with an operation element of a master cylinder in response to a depression of a brake pedal; an operation rod which is connected to the retainer so as to move together with the retainer; an elastic member which is installed in the master cylinder; a signal transmitting element which is installed in the master cylinder, one end of the signal transmitting element being elastically supported by the elastic member, and the other end of the signal transmitting element being supported by the operation rod; and a sensor which is installed in the master cylinder so as to be operated by the signal transmitting element.

BRAKING SYSTEM WITH VARIABLE BRAKE LIGHTS

A braking system for indicating brake pad application that includes: a brake lever; a brake pad at the distal end of the brake lever; and a pressure detector connected to the brake lever, where the pressure detector detects pressure applied to the brake pad. A plurality of wire leads extends from the pressure detector and connected to the brake lever. The braking system includes a means to vary brake light illumination based upon pressure detected by the pressure detector providing three levels of illumination. A first brake illumination indicates a normal brake pressure application; a second brake illumination indicates a second level of brake pressure at a higher intensity than the normal brake pressure; and a third brake illumination indicates a third level of brake pressure at a highest intensity of brake pressure.

Integrated electronic brake system and control method thereof

An integrated electronic brake system includes a main control section configured in a first area to receive one or more of a value from a pedal sensor, a value from a cylinder pressure sensor, a value from a wheel speed sensor, or an EPB signal to perform EPB control and drive a main braking valve and a braking motor for the main braking of a vehicle, and to drive an additional braking valve for the additional braking, a sub-control section configured in a second area to receive one or more of the value from the pedal sensor, the value from the wheel speed sensor, or the EPB signal to perform the EPB control and drive the main braking valve and the braking motor through a bypass circuit, and a connection bus connecting the first and second areas mounted in one box to transfer signals between the main and sub-control sections.
