VEHICLE DRIVER NUDGE SYSTEM
A driver nudge system is operated within a vehicle to indicate a warning to a driver of the vehicle. The system includes a steering wheel, a vehicle sensor monitoring an operating environment of the vehicle, and an electric motor connected to the steering wheel configured to nudge the steering wheel in an opposite direction to a threat diagnosed according to data from the vehicle sensor.
VEHICLE STATUS INDICATOR
A device for use with a vehicle that includes a cabinet having a plurality of sidewalls that can define at least a portion of an interior region of the cabinet. A display screen is coupled to a portion of the cabinet, at least one side of the display screen being positioned to face outwardly away from the interior region and have indicia that is visible from a location remote from both the cabinet and the vehicle. A light source can be positioned within the interior region adjacent to the display screen that is configured to selectively illuminate at least a portion of at least one of the display screen and the indicia. The device can further include a controller that is electrically coupled to the light source and a trigger assembly. The controller can be configured to initiate operation of the light source in response to receipt of a communication from the trigger assembly that is indicative a change in status of the vehicle.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VEHICULAR COMMUNICATION
Vehicular communication systems and methods are disclosed, including one or more media devices. A host device inside a vehicle is coupled to a media device that is adaptable to being mounted to the vehicle. The media device includes a display configured to display a default image. The host device is configured to receive data associated with a predefined direction of the vehicle from vehicle operation sensors on the vehicle and receive traffic data from one or more application servers. In response to the data, the host device determines a vehicle status and transmits media content to be presented on the display, including at least one road sign. The host device is further configured to establish a link with a second media device including a display and transmit instructions to project the media content.
Mobile device tethering for a remote parking assist system of a vehicle
Method and apparatus are disclosed for mobile device tethering for a remote parking assist system of a vehicle. An example vehicle includes projection lamps and a body control module. The body control module determines a distance of a mobile device from the vehicle. The body control module also projects a representation of a boundary around the vehicle using the projection lamps and modifies the representation of the boundary based on the distance of the mobile device from the vehicle and an operational state of the vehicle.
VEHICLE HEADLIGHT AND METHOD FOR ASSISTING A PARKING MANEUVER
The invention relates to a vehicle headlamp (1) comprising: a high-resolution lighting apparatus (2) for projecting various light distributions onto a roadway area (4) positioned in front of a vehicle (3); an environmental detection device (5) for detecting at least one parking space (6) located in the environment surrounding the vehicle (3); and a control device (7) for dynamically controlling the lighting apparatus (2);
wherein the environmental detection device (5) is designed to issue information corresponding to a detected parking space (6) to the control device (7), wherein the control device (7) is designed, in case the environmental detection device (5) detects a parking space (6), to control the lighting apparatus (2), under consideration of at least the information issued by the environmental detection device (5) related to the parking space (6), in such a manner that the lighting apparatus (2) at least projects a definable ground projection (8), which at least represents the vehicle length, onto the roadway area (4) in front of the vehicle (3).
Light reflector systems and methods
A light module includes a plurality of optical fibers configured as an optical fiber panel, wherein a first end of the plurality of optical fibers is configured into a bundle; a first solid state light source coupled to the bundle; a second solid state light source; and a reflector configured to reflect light rays transmitted from the second solid state light source towards the optical fiber panel. A method of transmitting light includes transmitting a first set of light rays, via a first solid state light source, to a plurality of optical fibers of an optical fiber panel, wherein the first solid state light source is coupled to the plurality of optical fibers; transmitting a second set of light rays, via a second solid state light source, towards a reflector; and reflecting the second set of light rays from the reflector towards the optical fiber panel.
Parking light system for vehicles
A vehicle implementing a parking light system, the parking light system including at least one parking light disposed at a rear portion of the vehicle, a turn signal switch to move in an upward direction and downward direction, and a sensor to transmit a signal to the at least parking light in response to the turn signal switch moving in one of the upward direction and downward direction, such that the at least one parking light illuminates in response to receiving the signal.
PARKING CONTROL DEVICE, PARKING CONTROL METHOD, VEHICLE, AND COMPUTER READABLE NON-TRANSITORY RECORDING MEDIUM STORING A PROGRAM
A parking control device includes a detection unit that detects at least one possible parking position in which a vehicle is capable of being parked, and a control unit that automatically operates a predetermined lighting device which can be viewed from the exterior of the vehicle, after a target parking position has been selected from among the possible parking positions, and initiates movement of the vehicle into the target parking position on the condition that the predetermined lighting device is operating.
Vehicle Driver Nudge System
A vehicle intent indication system includes a sensor, a display, and a controller. The sensor is configured to detect an object in an operating environment of a vehicle. The display is configured to display a pattern visible to a person in the operating environment of the vehicle. The display includes light emitting components configured to be selectively illuminated to display the pattern. The controller is configured to receive information from the sensor indicating that the object has been detected in the operating environment and to cause the light emitting components to be selectively illuminated to display the pattern in response to receiving the information from the sensor. The pattern in configured to inform the person in the operating environment of the vehicle of an intent of the vehicle to perform a driving maneuver.
