A forklift 1 as a cargo vehicle includes: a vehicle body 1A which an operator M gets on; and an image projection device 31, projecting an image related to vehicle information in a direction (left) in which the operator M alights to display the image on a road surface G. In addition, the forklift 1 further includes an alighting sensor that detects an alighting operation when the operator M alights. The image projection device 31 projects the image when the alighting sensor detects the alighting operation.

A vehicle messaging system and method of operation thereof. The method of operating the vehicle messaging system includes first providing a vehicle messaging system. Once provided, a message to be displayed will be inputted into the vehicle messaging system by a vehicle operator and/or one or more users of the vehicle messaging system. After the message to be displayed has been inputted the vehicle operator and/or the one or more users will instruct the vehicle messaging system to display the message.

A signaling device for increasing visibility of a mobile robot. The signaling device comprises (a) a base section, attached with a rotational joint to a side of the mobile robot, said rotational joint allowing the device to rotate clockwise and/or anticlockwise relative to the mobile robot, the rotational joint constructed and adapted to return the device to an equilibrium position; and (b) a body section comprising a mast, the body section flexibly attached to the base section at a lower extreme of the body section.

An automatic safety tripod for a vehicle includes a frame formed in a housing with one open surface, and a display part of which one portion is connected to the frame, the display part being folded or unfolded to be inserted into or protrude out of the frame. The frame includes a rotation bar in the frame, and having screw threads at opposite ends thereof, the screw threads being screwed to one side of the frame, a motor provided at the center of the rotation bar and rotating the rotation bar; pulleys provided at opposite sides of the rotation bar based on the center portion, and a wire of which a first portion is connected to each of the pulleys and a second portion is connected to the display part, the wire moving the frame by rotation of the pulley.

A display control apparatus comprises a display device that is a display device to be provided in a moving object that can travel, and outputs image information such that a visible direction from the outside of the moving object is restricted. The display control apparatus detects an image information presentation target that is present around the moving object, and controls the visible direction in the display device to a predetermined direction. The display control apparatus controls the predetermined direction such that an output of the display device is visible to the detected image information presentation target.

Information related to a vehicle can be displayed by projecting an image based on the information on a road surface or the like. An image projection apparatus that projects an image includes: an acquisition unit that acquires information to be displayed; and an image projection unit that projects the image based on the information to be displayed acquired by the acquisition unit.

Systems and methods for IR readable transmissive and reflective displays are disclosed that do not suffer from a mirror-like appearance or undesirable dimming of the display due to sequential stacks of polarizers. The disclosed systems and methods use available IR LEDs in addition to, or in place of, visible light LEDs. An illuminator or integrator, which is a lightguide, is designed to maintain the polarization state of the light. The display can use a regular visible light, front polarizer and hence does not suffer from brightness reduction caused by an IR capable polarizer.

The invention relates to a reflector for a vehicle, which includes a main body having a plurality of reflection prisms arranged next to each other for each reflecting light. Each reflection prism has a reflection direction along which the reflection prism reflects the light. The main body has first reflection prisms having a first reflection direction and second reflection prisms having a second reflection direction different from the first reflection direction. A safety sign device is for a vehicle. The safety sign device includes a first sign having proximal and distal end, a first hinge being coupled to the proximal end of the first sign, the first hinge being coupled to a side of the vehicle, and a second sign being coupled to the side of the vehicle and being substantially parallel to the side of the vehicle. The first hinge is configured to extend and retract the first sign between a retracted position and an extended position. The first and second signs may be transverse to each other in the extended position, and may be flat against the side of the vehicle in the retracted position. The safety sign device includes a first flexible arm coupled to the first hinge and having an elongate housing, and visual indicators carried by the elongate housing.

A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror reflective element sub-assembly having a mirror reflective element, a mirror reflector, a mirror back plate, and indicator element. The indicator element includes a housing and a light source. The indicator element is associated with a blind spot detection system of the vehicle and includes a diffuser that diffuses light emitted by the light source. An icon is established through a metallic reflector coating disposed at the glass substrate. The icon includes a light-transmitting aperture. When the vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly is attached at the vehicle, the icon is at an upper quadrant of the mirror reflective element. When the vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly is attached at the vehicle and when the light source is activated, the icon is illuminated and is viewable by the driver of the vehicle.
