Directed alert notification by autonomous-driving vehicle
A system included and a computer-implemented method performed in an autonomous-driving vehicle are described. The system performs: detecting one or more movable objects; determining a target movable object from the one or more detected objects; determining a manner of generating a directed alert notification selectively toward the target movable object; and causing a directed alert notification of the determined manner to be generated toward the target movable object.
Vehicle with overhead vehicle state indication
A vehicle comprising an optically transmissive roof window, an overhead console arranged in an overhead position with respect to a driver position in the vehicle, an optical element attached to a rear portion of the overhead console, the optical element facing the roof window, a light source for emitting light receivable by the optical element, the light source is configure to emit the light when an electric system of the vehicle is powered on. The optical element is arranged to receive at least a portion of the light emitted by the light source such that an image representative of the optical signal and the shape of the optical element is visible through the roof window from the interior of the vehicle. The invention further relates to a method for providing an image indicative of a state of a vehicle.
APPARATUS FOR PRESENTING RESULT OF RECOGNIZING RECOGNITION TARGET
There are provided an apparatus, a method, and an autonomous moving body which allow a recognition target to be notified with certainty that the recognition target is recognized by an autonomous moving body. A recognition result presenting apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure detects a recognition target (person) present within a predetermined range from an automatic driving vehicle and presents, to the detected recognition target (person), the result of recognition indicating that the automatic driving vehicle recognizes the recognition target (person).
VEHICLE COMMUNICATION GRILLE
A vehicle lighting system includes an illuminated grille assembly. The illuminated grille assembly includes a plurality of grille bars each having at least one light source. A control system is configured to control the illuminated grille assembly to emit combinations of lighting effects from the plurality of grille bars for indicating a plurality of visually distinctive operating behaviors of the vehicle.
SYSTEMS FOR OUTPUTTING AN ALERT FROM A VEHICLE TO WARN NEARBY ENTITIES
The present disclosure relates to a system, for implementation at a vehicle to provide an alert from the vehicle to an entity (e.g., human, animal, another vehicle) external to the vehicle and within a proximity of the vehicle. The system includes a vehicle sensor, a vehicle output device, a hardware-based processing device, and a non-transitory computer-readable storage device having an alert manager agent/unit and an output unit. The alert manager agent includes code that, when executed, determines based on context data that the entity is within the predetermined proximity of the vehicle and selects an alert profile. The output unit includes code that, when executed, determines at least one output signal for implementing the alert profile. The output alert signal is sent to the vehicle output device that, provides the alert to be perceived by the entity.
LIGHTING DEVICE FOR IDENTIFICATION OF THE TYPE OF PROPULSION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
A lighting device for a motor vehicle, the lighting device being designed to emit at least one light beam, at least one characteristic of which relates to the type of propulsion of the motor vehicle, the device being arranged to emit the light beam at least when the motor vehicle is moving.
Control system, switch and control method for a hybrid electric vehicle
A control system, a switch and a control method for a hybrid vehicle, the vehicle operable in a hybrid mode where a combustion engine and an electric motor can be used, and in an electric mode where only the electric motor can be used. The control system includes a propulsion mode control module configured to control the vehicle to operate in one of the hybrid mode and the electric mode. The propulsion mode control module is further configured to verify that the vehicle has been in an off-state for a predetermined period of time before switching from the hybrid mode to the electric mode.
