System and method for vehicular alert

A system and method for a vehicular alert that detects a person or animal, determines an environmental noise level from a microphone, determines an alert characteristic response to detection of the person or animal, and emits the alert signal based on the determined alert characteristic, which is adjusted based on the environmental noise level. The alert signal draws the attention of the person or animal to the vehicle to reduce the likelihood of an accident.

A method for controlling the warning lights of an unmanned aerial vehicle, in a system, in which one or more light modules are connected to a controller (1), which controller (1) is also connected via a communication interface (5) to a decision subsystem (6) adapted to receive an activation signal from a delivery module (7, 8, 9, 10) providing the activation signal, which method comprises the following steps: a) delivery of the activation signal by the delivery module (7, 8, 9, 10) providing the activation signal to the decision subsystem (6), b) generation of a request to turn the warning lights (4) on or off by the decision subsystem (6) based on the activation signal, and transfer of this request via the interface (5) to the controller (1), c) turning the warning lights (4) on or off by the controller (1) according to the request received in step b). The invention comprises also a system for application of this method.

VEHICULAR VISION SYSTEM USING SIDE-VIEWING CAMERA

A vehicular vision system includes a side-viewing camera mounted within an exterior rearview mirror assembly attached at a side of a vehicle equipped with the vehicular vision system. The side-viewing camera has a field of view at least sideward of the side of the equipped vehicle at which the exterior rearview mirror assembly is attached. The side-viewing camera captures an image of a scene occurring exterior of the equipped vehicle. The captured image includes an image data set representative of the exterior scene. A control includes an image processor, and the image data set is provided to the control. The control processes a reduced image data set of the image data set provided to the control to detect edges present exterior of the equipped vehicle within an area of interest of the scene occurring exterior of the equipped vehicle that is within the field of view of the side-viewing camera.

DISPLAY SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE

Provided is a display system for a vehicle. The display system includes a display device installed to be visually recognizable from the outside of a vehicle, and a control device configured to cause the display device to display state information of the vehicle. The control device receives a signal from a sensor that senses a distance from the vehicle to an object around the vehicle, and the control device changes display of the display device based on the distance.
