SYSTEM FOR GENERATING WARNINGS FOR ROAD USERS
A system and a method automatically generate warnings intended for users of a road on board an automobile. The system includes sensors, an on-board programmable electronic device, and at least one audible or visual warning device. The programmable electronic device includes at least one processor configured to detect traffic elements, and a module for analyzing traffic elements, such that each detected traffic element is associated with a predetermined category and an associated confidence level is calculated. A module determines an at-risk situation from among a number of predetermined risk situations. At least one of the traffic elements is associated with at least one user of the road outside said vehicle. A command module warns the user of the road of the detected risk.
VEHICLE WITH ESCAPE FEATURE USING SYNTHESIZED VEHICLE VIEW
Embodiments of the present invention provide an autonomous vehicle with an emergency escape mode. When fleeing a scene is critical, embodiments provide an AV that can operate in an emergency escape mode (EEM) to enable the AV to flee a scene, protecting its occupants. Typically, a passenger or operator invokes EEM in an AV when they are in imminent danger from criminal activity such as carjacking. A least resistance route can be computed to determine an escape route that provides for reduced chance of injury and/or increased probability of a successful escape.

VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE, VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A vehicle control device includes a recognizer that is configured to recognize a surrounding situation of a host vehicle and a driving controller that is configured to control acceleration or deceleration and steering of the host vehicle on the basis of a recognition result of the recognizer. The driving controller is configured to cause the host vehicle to operate in at least any of a first driving state and a second driving state in which a rate of automation is higher or tasks required of an occupant are fewer than in the first driving state, and is configured to transition a driving state of the host vehicle to the first driving state on the basis of movement of a rearward vehicle that travels rearward of the host vehicle recognized by the recognizer in a direction of a vehicle width in a case where the host vehicle is operating in the second driving state.

Image recognition-based intelligent alarm lamp
An image recognition-based intelligent alarm lamp includes a lighting device, a rotating mechanism, a high-definition camera, a DC motor, an LED alarm lamp and an embedded processing device. The lighting device is mounted onto the rotating mechanism and rotated with the rotating mechanism to illuminate an object from different directions; the DC motor is coupled to the rotating mechanism for driving the rotation of the rotating mechanism; the high-definition camera is provided for capturing a video stream around a police car; the embedded processing device is provided for receiving an image around the police car, determining whether or not to send a rotation drive signal to the DC motor based on the image around the police car, and determining a flashing method of the LED alarm lamp based on the image around the police car. This invention improves the level of recognizing a criminal around the police car.

Methods and systems for providing alerts of opening doors
Vehicle systems for providing alerts of opening doors are disclosed. A system includes a camera configured to output image data of a vehicle occupant, an external environment sensor configured to output an external environment sensor output signal, one or more processors communicatively coupled to the camera and the external environment sensor, one or more memory modules communicatively coupled to the one or more processors, and machine readable instructions stored in the one or more memory modules. The system receives the image data of the vehicle occupant, predicts whether a door of the vehicle is going to be opened based on the image data of the vehicle occupant, determines whether an object is present based on the external environmental sensor output signal, and generates an alert in response to predicting that the door of the vehicle is going to be opened and determining that the object is present.
TFT LCD light bar
A light bar has a circuit board positioned within a housing and having a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) or a thin-film-transistor liquid-crystal display (TFT LCD) is configured to transmit light. The housing has wiring electrically connected to a controller. The controller is configured to receive signals from the electrical system of the vehicle, interpret the signals received from the electrical system of the vehicle, and in response automatically control illumination of independently controllable segments of the vehicle light bar. The controller is initially programmed to perform specific function(s) and/or strobe according to specific patterns and is thereafter at least partially restricted from being reprogrammed by a user to serve other function(s), either by restricting the emission of light in at least one color and/or preventing specific strobing pattern(s).
