Notification device

A notification device provided in a vehicle including an autonomous driving system which causes the vehicle to travel by autonomous driving and to evacuate the vehicle when a failure occurs, includes a display unit configured to display information toward an outside of the vehicle, and a display controller configured to control the display unit. The display controller causes the display unit to be turned on or flicker when a failure occurs and changes a display of the display unit in at least one of a time when an evacuation starts and a time when an evacuation is completed.

Method and apparatus for indicating vehicle moving state

The present disclosure discloses embodiments of methods and apparatuses for indicating a vehicle moving state. In some embodiments, a method includes receiving a vehicle driving instruction; detecting a driving environment outside the vehicle; determining a driving strategy for executing the vehicle driving instruction in the driving environment; determining a driving track instructed by the driving strategy; and projecting the driving track on a road when the driving environment satisfies a preset condition. This implementation can clearly indicate the position that a vehicle is about to occupy, thereby improving the effect of interaction between the vehicle and other vehicles or pedestrians.

Method for reducing collision damage

Method, device and computer-readable storage medium with instructions for identifying an exit side of a motor vehicle

A method, a device and a computer-readable storage medium with instructions for identifying an exit side of a motor vehicle. In a first step, the existence of an exit situation is detected. If an exit situation exists, an exit side of the motor vehicle is ascertained. Finally, the opening of a door is simulated on the ascertained exit side. For example, a brightness can be increased on the ascertained exit side, outside sounds can be reproduced, or an air stream can be generated.

Signal device and collision avoidance system

A turn signal device comprising: a right-turn signal and a left-turn signal provided in a host vehicle; an operation device for generating operation signals; an acquisition unit that acquires determination signals indicating determination results regarding the risk of a collision between the host vehicle and a following vehicle; a normal situation control unit that, based on the operation signals, outputs normal situation control signals such that light-emitting units for either or both the left-turn signal and the right-turn signal light up sequentially from an inner side to an outer side in the vehicle width direction; and a dangerous situation control unit that outputs dangerous situation control signals such that, when a determination signal indicates a determination result that there is a risk of collision, the light-emitting units for both the left-turn signal and the right-turn signal light up sequentially from the outer side to the inner side.

ADVANCED WARNING AND RISK EVASION SYSTEM AND METHOD

This invention relates in general to the field of safety devices, and more particularly, but not by way of limitation, to systems and methods for providing advanced warning and risk evasion when hazardous conditions exist. In one embodiment, a vicinity monitoring unit is provided for monitoring, for example, oncoming traffic near a construction zone. In some embodiments, the vicinity monitoring unit may be mounted onto a construction vehicle to monitor nearby traffic and send a warning signal if hazardous conditions exist. In some embodiments, personnel tracking units may be worn by construction workers and the personnel tracking units may be in communication with the vicinity monitoring unit. In some embodiments, a base station is provided for monitoring activities taking place in or near a construction site including monitoring the locations of various personnel and vehicles within the construction site.

DISPLAY FOR REAR LAMP OF A VEHICLE
20190366918 · 2019-12-05 ·

A vehicle includes a rear lamp display configured to display images as well as perform the usual functions of a rear lamp assembly. The rear lamp display may include a light source and a digital mirror device. Obstacles detected may trigger display of a static or animated representation of the obstacle in the rear lamp display. Detection of a turn may invoke display of a direction of the turn as well as text indicating a target of the turn. Detection of an intervention of a vehicle system to maintain stability, a warning may be displayed that indicates potentially hazardous road conditions. Where opening of a door is detected, a representation of an open or opening door may be displayed. Where a following vehicle is detected, the speed limit or cruising speed of the vehicle may be displayed. Objects left in the vehicle may trigger display of an alert.

MODULAR FLEXIBLE LIGHT BAR

Light bars, and lighting systems and vehicles that include light bars. The light bars include a plurality of light emitting modules coupled together at flexible joints to allow a single light bar to be affixed to surfaces of varying curvatures, such as an interior window surface of a vehicle. The size of the light bar is easily customizable due to its modular nature. In some examples, a controller or other electronic element is adapted to detect a number and/or configuration of modules in a given light bar.
