Display system and method
A method, computer program product, and computing system for monitoring one or more machine vision sensors to obtain perception information concerning one or more third-party vehicles proximate an autonomous vehicle; identifying one or more vehicle shapes within the perception information, thus defining one or more detected vehicles shapes; generating proximate object display information that locates the one or more detected vehicles shapes with respect to the autonomous vehicle; and rendering the proximate object display information on a visual display system, thus confirming the perception of the one or more third-party vehicles by the autonomous vehicle.
External communication suppression device for driving automation
A method, system and non-transitory computer readable medium for suppressing autonomous vehicle external human machine interface (eHMI) notifications to prevent confusion or distraction of a road user. The suppression conditions are based on situations where the eHMI notification is redundant, not necessary, can be simplified or should be modified due to weather or light intensity. The eHMI notifications can be suppressed on selected displays and enhanced on others. The eHMI notifications can include text and icons, flashing lights, color or light patterns, which can be modified or suppressed based on the determination that the eHMI notification will confuse or distract the road user. At a four-way stop intersection, the eHMI notification can be suppressed until the autonomous vehicle has the right-of-way. The autonomous vehicle can form a mesh network with connected vehicles at the intersection and broadcast a group eHMI while requesting that the connected vehicles suppress their eHMIs.
System and Method for Illuminating Charging Port of Electric Vehicle
An embodiment system for illuminating a charging port of an electric vehicle is provided. The charging port is provided in a vehicle body for supplying electrical power to a vehicle driving battery, and the system includes a charging port door configured to open and close the charging port, and a lamp device disposed on the charging port door and configured to illuminate the charging port.
TRAILER VISIBILITY SAFETY SYSTEM
A safety lighting system for use with trailers is described herein. In some embodiments, the trailer lighting system comprises a sensor, a controller, and safety lights. The safety lighting system may be used for illuminating trailers while being towed, for example, in shipping yards, construction yards, and shipping and receiving docks. The safety lighting system may be activated upon connection of a pneumatic system with a spotting tractor and deactivated upon establishing an electrical connection from a tractor to the trailer.
Client ID screen device for communicating validation messages between a vehicle and a pedestrian
Information processing systems, computer readable storage mediums, and methods for communicating driver validation messages between a driver operated vehicle and a pedestrian client. One method, with a driver operated vehicle wireless device in the driver operated vehicle (DOV), includes wirelessly receiving, by the DOV wireless device, a pedestrian only message including a driver validation code, the driver validation code being anonymous to the driver of the DOV. The DOV wireless device displaying, through a window and visible outside the DOV, the driver validation code during a time interval synchronized to be cotemporaneous with displaying the driver validation code via a pedestrian client mobile device outside of the DOV. A contemporaneous display of the driver validation code on both devices visually validates the driver being authorized to meet a pedestrian client using the pedestrian client mobile device outside of the DOV.
MOVING BODY
A moving body includes: a main body section provided with a moving mechanism; a peripheral information detection sensor configured to detect an obstacle peripheral to the main body section; and a control section configured to cause the main body section to autonomously travel by controlling the moving mechanism based on information regarding the peripheral obstacle detected by the peripheral information detection sensor, and configured to cause information relating to the peripheral obstacle, in a direction of progress of the main body section, to be displayed in a surrounding area of the main body section.
LIGHT-EMITTING WINDOW ELEMENT AND MOTOR VEHICLE COMPRISING A LIGHT-EMITTING WINDOW ELEMENT
A light-emitting window element includes a transparent first carrier layer, a transparent second carrier layer, a substrate with a plurality of light-emitting semiconductor chips arranged thereon, and an optical layer having an adjustable transparency. The substrate with the plurality of light-emitting semiconductor chips and the optical layer are arranged between the first and second carrier layers, and the first and second carrier layers, the substrate with the plurality of light-emitting semiconductor chips and the optical layer form a laminate composite.
AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE NOTIFICATION SYSTEM
In one embodiment, a method includes receiving, using one or more sensors of a first vehicle, sensor data associated with an environment surrounding the first vehicle. The method includes detecting, using the sensor data, a second vehicle in the environment surrounding the first vehicle. The method includes determining, based on the sensor data, a first movement context associated with the first vehicle and a second movement context associated with the second vehicle. The method includes coordinating, via a ride matching system, movements between the first vehicle and the second vehicle based on the first movement context associated with the first vehicle and the second movement context associated with the second vehicle.
Vehicle control device, vehicle control method, and storage medium
A vehicle control device mounted in a vehicle includes: a first recognizer configured to recognize a person near the vehicle; a first determiner configured to determine whether the person recognized by the first recognizer is a pre-registered user; and a controller configured to control a lighting device to project a projection image to a position for which a stop position of the vehicle is a criterion in a case where the first determiner determines that the person recognized by the first recognizer is the pre-registered user.
Automated driving enabled vehicle
An automated driving enabled vehicle includes a travel controller, an automated driving indicator lamp, and a lamp controller. The automated driving indicator lamp is switched on perceptibly from outside the vehicle on the occasion of automated driving. The lamp controller acquires, during the execution of the automated driving, attribute information regarding a place being traveled by the vehicle. The lamp controller makes a lighting control of the automated driving indicator lamp during the execution of the automated driving, in accordance with the place being traveled by the vehicle executing the automated driving.
