CHILD AND PET SAFETY SYSTEM
A vehicular safety system is provided. The vehicular safety system is adapted to protect children and pets trapped in the vehicle from being exposed to excessive heat. The safety system is coupled to temperature and motion sensors inside the vehicle to sense ambient temperature and motion therein, respectively. If the ambient temperature exceeds a predefined temperature and motion is simultaneously detected, then operatively associated power windows are engaged to create ventilation and operatively associated lighting and alarm systems are enabled for a predetermined time period. The safety system may also enable communication to an associated computing device, such as the smart phone of the vehicle owner and/or the onboard communication system of the vehicle.
CRIME PREVENTION SYSTEM, CRIME PREVENTION METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
The crime prevention system executes evaluating whether or not a degree of safety of the passenger getting off the vehicle is equal to or higher than a predetermined level on a basis of a recognition result of the recognition sensor (at least one of a first recognition sensor and a second recognition sensor), in a case where the degree of safety is lower than the predetermined level, executing illumination control of irradiating a position of the passenger getting off the vehicle with illumination from the illumination device (at least a first illumination device) while the vehicle is kept stopped for a period set in accordance with the degree of safety, and terminating the illumination control in response to a predetermined termination condition being satisfied.
GETTING-OFF SUPPORT APPARATUS, GETTING-OFF SUPPORT METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
In a getting-off support apparatus, a measurement unit measures an approaching direction and moving velocity of a mobile object, and a distance between the own vehicle and the mobile object. A getting-off operation detection unit detects getting-off operation of a passenger in the own vehicle. A control unit controls output of a notification signal in accordance with the distance and the moving velocity of the mobile object. A notification signal output unit outputs a second notification signal to the passenger. The control unit estimates a period until when the mobile object reaches the own vehicle when the getting-off operation is detected, and outputs a second notification signal in a case where for the mobile object for which the estimated period is equal to or greater than a threshold, the distance is less than a limit distance, and the moving velocity is equal to or greater than limit velocity.
VEHICLE LAMP WITH ROTATING LIGHT SOURCE
A vehicle lamp with a rotating light source may include a signal receiver which receives a signal from one or more sensors provided in a vehicle; a light emitting diode (LED) portion having one or more LED elements configured to emit light toward an outside of the vehicle; a controller connected to the one or more LED elements and configured to control a light generation amount of the one or more LED elements; a signal transmitter which is connected to the signal receiver, receives the signal from the signal receiver and transmits the received signal to the controller; and a driver coupled to the LED portion and configured to rotate the LED portion, wherein the controller controls the light generation amount of the one or more LED elements in a response to the signal.
Vehicle lamp
A vehicle lamp has a roof unit. The roof unit includes a plurality of types of light output units having different illumination functions, a light emission drive unit configured to cause the plurality of types of light output units to output lights, and a monitoring sensor. The roof unit is arranged at a roof part of a vehicle.
Mobile alert and security system
An alert system for a vehicle has a computerized monitoring apparatus, a plurality of sensors sensing environmental conditions, status of apparatus of the vehicle, and presence or absence of a cellular telephone, and reports the conditions, status and presence or absence to the monitoring apparatus as variable values, and wireless transmission circuitry enabled to send an alert to the cellular telephone. The monitoring apparatus transmits an alert if the following sequence of events is determined: (1) at a first point in time the cellular telephone is in the vehicle and the ignition is on (2) at a 10 second point in time after the first point in time the ignition is switched off (3) at a third point in time after the second point in time the cellular telephone is no longer in the vehicle and it is determined there is a human or other animal in the vehicle.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR RENDERING CONTENT ON THE EXTERIOR OF A VEHICLE
A display system for use on the exterior of a vehicle having a display and a processor. The processor is configured to determine when the vehicle is stopped or in motion, such that the processor directs the display system to display an image based on that determination.
AUTOMATED OPERATION VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE AND AUTOMATED OPERATION VEHICLE
An automated operation vehicle control unit is configured to perform a detection process in which an abnormal condition of a passenger of a vehicle is detected and a notification process in which pedestrians are notified of the abnormal condition detected in the detection process in a case where the abnormal condition of the passenger is detected in the detection process.
Blood alcohol level sensing system for a vehicle
A blood alcohol level sensing system for a vehicle is steering wheel with infrared sensors that are able to detect variations in body chemistry from contact with the palms of the hands to determine if a driver is either alcohol impaired or impaired from certain medical conditions that might affect driving. The system has a digital readout that may be located on the dashboard of the vehicle, and the readout may also be transmitted to a cell phone. In the event of an exceedance of a predetermined set point, an interlock will interrupt the start circuit of the vehicle to prevent it from starting.
Safety restraint non-compliance light
A source of illumination is positioned on a vehicle facing rearwardly. Multi-function controls include a first control and a second control. The first control illuminates the source of illumination and provides a first signal when a driver depresses a brake pedal. The second control illuminates the source of illumination and provides a second signal when an occupant of the vehicle is not using a seat belt. The second signal is an indicator signal adapted to be read by an automatic license plate reader. The indicator signal is chosen from the class consisting of an alpha-numeric signal and a sequencing pattern signal. The alpha-numeric signal is created by light shining through a translucent panel with opaque alpha-numeric markings. The sequencing signal is created by a light turning on and off.
