A signaling device for defining a space between parked vehicles. The signaling device comprises a vehicle attachment component, an extendable component, and a warning component. The vehicle attachment component is configured to engage a vehicle window. The extendable component comprises rotatable and telescoping arms for defining the space between the vehicles when the rotatable and telescoping arms are extended. The warning component alerts others of the defined space. A method of using the signaling device to define a space between parked vehicles is also disclosed.
VEHICLE MANUFACTURING METHOD AND VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM
A vehicle manufacturing method includes a placement step of placing, in a vehicle, a vehicle control unit and a master control unit, the vehicle control unit including a non-volatile program storage unit and controlling a function unit installed in the vehicle by executing a program stored in the program storage unit, a wire-connection step of connecting the master control unit with plural vehicle control units by a communication wire, and a writing step of executing a writing process of writing the program to the program storage unit for the vehicle control unit which is connected with the master control unit by the communication wire.
Vehicle Comprising a Combined Display-Lighting Unit
A vehicle includes a combined display-lighting unit. The combined display-lighting unit has, combined in a single component, an electronic paper display device forming an information zone and a lighting unit forming an illumination zone.
Methods and systems for detection of vehicle occupancy
Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for detecting, alerting, and acting to prevent unattended vehicle deaths. An embodiment operates by receiving one or more signals from one or more presence sensors in a vehicle and analyzing the signals to detect the presence of a person or animal inside the vehicle. The system further receives one or more signals from one or more environment sensors on the vehicle and analyzes the signals to detect a dangerous environmental condition. If the system determines that both the presence of a person or animal has been detected inside the vehicle and a dangerous environmental condition has been detected, it activates one or more vehicle systems that mitigate the dangerous environmental condition and sends an alert to one or more predetermined recipients.
ELECTRONIC LICENSE PLATE FRAME FOR DISPLAYING STATIC AND NON-STATIC INFORMATION
Systems, apparatus and methods related to electronic vehicle registration and tag displays, specifically a vehicle license plate frame containing multiple low power e-paper type displays configured to replace the stickers used for vehicle registration and parking authorizations as well as provide indication of purchased parking increments and/or allow for display of advertisement or other messages. The system may also allow the display of driver or vehicle specific information such as the user's driver's license number or insurance at the request of a third party authorities such as the police. The system allows for use of a mobile computing device having software connected with the internet to access a server allowing for communication with various registrations authorities including the DMV, municipal parking authorities, and private parking authorities. Displays may be overwritten and changed depending on the location of the vehicle and need to provide display of certain authorizations.
VEHICULAR DRIVER MONITORING SYSTEM WITH ALERT TO OTHER VEHICLES
A vehicular driver monitoring system includes a camera disposed at an interior cabin of a vehicle. Electronic circuitry of an ECU includes an image processor for processing image data captured by the camera. The camera views at least a head region of a driver of the vehicle and is operable to capture image data. Based on processing at the ECU of the captured image data, the vehicular driver monitoring system determines an attentiveness level of the driver. Responsive to determination that the attentiveness level of the driver is below a threshold level of attentiveness, the vehicular driver monitoring system alerts a person exterior the vehicle of the determined inattentive driver.
FACIAL RECOGNITION AND MONITORING DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD
The present teachings relate to a device, system, and method for facial recognition and monitoring. The present teachings may relate to a method for recognizing and monitoring one or more users for an occurrence of a health event of the one or more users comprising: a) receiving incoming video data; b) preprocessing the video data; c) extracting facial data to identify one or more users; d) recognizing the presence, probability, and/or absence of the health event; e) generating one or more notifications or not generating based on the presence, probability, and/or absence of the health event; and f) optionally, enabling one or more safety protocols of a vehicle.
System and Method for Providing Taxi Service
A system for providing a taxi service includes an integrated terminal connected to a payment server through a network, wherein the integrated terminal includes a meter unit configured to calculate an operation fee of a vehicle by using global positioning system (GPS) information or information collected by a sensor of the vehicle, transmit event information comprising operation fee payment information or destination arrival information to the vehicle, and be switched to be in an empty vehicle mode when receiving payment completion information from the payment server in response to a payment request.
