An attachment structure for a lighting device, with which it is possible to reduce the time that attachment requires and stably attach a lighting device to a curved surface on which the lighting device is to be attached without using a screw member. This attachment structure for a lighting device is equipped with: a base provided on a curved surface of a door lining and having a plate-shaped base section; and an attachment part provided on the base and used for affixing the lighting device to the base section.

An illumination device includes a housing portion having an opening for inserting an object to be housed, and a bottom face capable of supporting the object to be housed; a light source; and a light-guide plate having a light-emitting face and guiding a light of the light source to emit light from the light-emitting face. The light-guide plate is disposed between the opening of the housing portion and the bottom face, and at least one portion of the light-emitting face of the light-guide plate is arranged to form an acute angle with respect to the bottom face so as to directly irradiate the bottom face from a diagonal direction.

A method and apparatus include attaching a lighted cup holder to a seating arrangement. The lighted cup holder includes a cup holder body and a light-producing light source, with the cup holder body being attached to the seating arrangement and having a cup receptacle therein, the light-producing source being disposed within the cup receptacle for illuminating the receptacle. A light-sensitive element operatively connected to the light source selectively controls production of light by the light source in such a manner that illumination of the cup holder is provided only under conditions where visibility is reduced to the point that it becomes difficult to locate the cup holder. The light-sensitive element is mounted on a master lighted cup holder and controls illumination of the master lighted cup holder and one or more slave lighted cup holders operatively connected to the master lighted cup holder.

An illumination structure for decoration includes a light-guiding member and a decorative member on a surface of the light-guiding member. The decorative member has a plurality of lighting parts configured to light in a dot form. A lens layer is between the light-guiding member and the decorative member and includes a plurality of convex lens parts, each of the convex lens parts facing at least one of the lighting parts. Each of the convex lens parts has a convex lens surface on a surface facing the light-guiding member, the convex lens surface being configured to curve and protrude toward the light-guiding member and focus light adjacent to the lighting parts.

A method and apparatus include attaching a lighted cup holder to a seating arrangement. The lighted cup holder includes a cup holder body and a light-producing light source, with the cup holder body being attached to the seating arrangement and having a cup receptacle therein, the light-producing source being disposed within the cup receptacle for illuminating the receptacle. A light-sensitive element operatively connected to the light source selectively controls production of light by the light source in such a manner that illumination of the cup holder is provided only under conditions where visibility is reduced to the point that it becomes difficult to locate the cup holder. The light-sensitive element is mounted on a master lighted cup holder and controls illumination of the master lighted cup holder and one or more slave lighted cup holders operatively connected to the master lighted cup holder.

A lighting device includes a storage member provided with a receiving opening for an object to be stored, and a support bottom portion for supporting the received object to be stored; a light source; and a loop-shaped light guide member including an incident portion for a light from the light source and a light emission surface formed along an edge of the receiving opening. The incident portion is positioned on an outer peripheral portion side of the light guide member, and a shielding wall along the receiving opening is positioned between the outer peripheral portion and the inner peripheral portion. Also, the light guide member includes a gradually-reduced portion reducing a distance between the inner peripheral portion and the outer peripheral portion as leaving from the incident portion.

A vehicle cup holder includes a body part including a storage part having an irradiation hole formed at one side thereof; a cover mounted at an upper portion of the body part so as to open or close the storage part; and a lamp unit mounted on the body part and fixed by a coupling member. The lamp unit includes a housing fixed to the body part at one side end portion thereof, an LED lamp module fitted into the one side portion of the housing, a lens coupled on a front surface of the housing such that light emitted from an LED mounted on a substrate of the LED lamp module, is irradiated through the irradiation hole of the storage part, and a guide lens provided between the housing and the lens so as to diffuse and irradiate the light generated by the LED through the lens.

A vehicle cup holder is provided and includes a base and a sidewall together defining an interior space for receiving a beverage container. A number of fingers extend through the sidewall for retaining the beverage container. A number of light pipes are each coupled to a corresponding finger for transmitting light into the interior space.

The light-guiding-element attachment claw is disposed integrally with the cover element, and protrudes diametrically toward an inner side beyond the outer peripheral face of the light guiding element. The housing has an inner peripheral face facing the outer peripheral face of the light guiding element, and further includes a larger-clearance portion and smaller-clearance portion. The larger-clearance portion provides a larger clearance between the inner peripheral face of the cover element and the outer peripheral face of the light guiding element than does the smaller-clearance portion between them.
