20170135489 · 2017-05-18 ·

A method and apparatus include attaching a lighted cup holder to a seating arrangement. The lighted cup holder includes a cup holder body and a light-producing light source, with the cup holder body being attached to the seating arrangement and having a cup receptacle therein, the light-producing source being disposed within the cup receptacle for illuminating the receptacle. A light-sensitive element operatively connected to the light source selectively controls production of light by the light source in such a manner that illumination of the cup holder is provided only under conditions where visibility is reduced to the point that it becomes difficult to locate the cup holder. The light-sensitive element is mounted on a master lighted cup holder and controls illumination of the master lighted cup holder and one or more slave lighted cup holders operatively connected to the master lighted cup holder.

ILLUMINATION DEVICE

An illumination device includes a housing portion having an opening for inserting an object to be housed, and a bottom face capable of supporting the object to be housed; a light source; and a light-guide plate having a light-emitting face and guiding a light of the light source to emit light from the light-emitting face. The light-guide plate is disposed between the opening of the housing portion and the bottom face, and at least one portion of the light-emitting face of the light-guide plate is arranged to form an acute angle with respect to the bottom face so as to directly irradiate the bottom face from a diagonal direction.

Ring-shaped light-conducting apparatus with uniform luminance

A light-conducting apparatus includes a light source, a light-conducting member and a light-reflecting structure. The light-conducting member includes a ring-shaped portion, a light-receiving surface and a radially outwardly bulged portion. The ring-shaped portion extends continuously over an entire circumference of the ring-shaped portion in a circumferential direction of the ring-shaped portion. The light-receiving surface causes light from the light source to enter the light-conducting member through the light-receiving surface. The radially outwardly bulged portion is bulged radially outwardly from the ring-shaped portion and causes the light having entered the light-conducting member through the light-receiving surface to enter the ring-shaped portion in one direction in the circumferential direction of the ring-shaped portion. The light-reflecting structure reflects a portion of the light having entered the light-conducting member through the light-receiving surface and causes the reflected light to enter the ring-shaped portion in a direction opposite to the one direction in the circumferential direction of the ring-shaped portion.

ILLUMINATION STRUCTURE FOR DECORATION

It is an object of the disclosure to improve light-emitting brightness of lighting parts. The disclosure is related to an illumination structure for decoration including a light-guiding member and a decorative member provided on a surface of the light-guiding member and having a plurality of lighting parts that light in a dot form. A lens layer is disposed between the light-guiding member and the decorative member and includes a plurality of convex lens parts facing each of the lighting parts. The convex lens parts each have a convex lens surface provided on a surface facing the light-guiding member and configured to curve and protrude toward the light-guiding member and to focus light close to the lighting parts.

LIGHTING MEMBER
20170021761 · 2017-01-26 ·

A lighting member includes a light guiding element, and a housing including a cover element and a light-guiding-element attachment claw. The cover element is formed as a frame shape, is capable of deforming elastically, and covers an outer peripheral face of the light guiding element over the entire circumference. The light-guiding-element attachment claw is disposed integrally with the cover element, and protrudes diametrically toward an inner side beyond the outer peripheral face of the light guiding element. The housing has an inner peripheral face facing the outer peripheral face of the light guiding element, and further includes a larger-clearance portion and smaller-clearance portion. The larger-clearance portion provides a larger clearance between the inner peripheral face of the cover element and the outer peripheral face of the light guiding element than does the smaller-clearance portion between them.
