Interior aircraft light, aircraft cabin lighting system, aircraft, and method of illuminating an aircraft cabin
An interior aircraft light includes a mounting structure for mounting the interior aircraft light to an aircraft seat; a UV radiation source; and an optical system, configured to direct UV radiation from the UV radiation source towards a floor portion underneath the aircraft seat.
Tuned Aircraft Lighting for an Improved Flight Experience
A method and apparatus for managing lighting during a flight. Light is emitted from a lighting system comprised of light devices positioned within an interior of the aircraft. Operation of the lighting system is controlled to create a first light scene, a second light scene, and a third light scene. The first light scene has a first spectral distribution that includes first light having a first wavelength of between about 436 nanometers and about 486 nanometers. The second light scene has a second spectral distribution that includes second light having a second wavelength between about 606 nanometers to about 656 nanometers. The third light scene has a third spectral distribution that includes third light having a third wavelength between about 530 nanometers and about 580 nanometers. Creating different light scenes during different periods of flight improves an overall well-being and flight experience of persons onboard the aircraft during the flight.
Passenger Communication Lighting
A passenger communication lighting display on or adjacent a touch bar on a passenger door of a transit vehicle comprises a display that can be controlled to display multiple colors continuous or blinking, and a control means causing the display to be dark when the door is closed, the display to be a first color when the operator has authorized opening, the display to flash a second color when the passenger has requested the door be opened, the display to be blinking the second color when the door is opening, the display to be continuously the second color when the door is resting in the open position, and the display to be blinking a third color while the door is closing.
Passenger service module with integrated cabin lighting
A service module for supplying passengers in a passenger space of a means of transport, in particular of an aircraft, and to a service system having a service channel and a plurality of such service modules. The service module comprises at least one service component arrangement having one or more service components for individually supplying one or more passengers, and a cabin lighting unit for illuminating the passenger space of the means of transport, in particular of the aircraft.

Method of operating an aircraft cabin illumination system, aircraft cabin illumination system, and aircraft comprising the same
A method of operating an aircraft cabin illumination system, having a plurality of light modules with a set spatial distribution across an aircraft cabin, includes receiving an image; mapping the image to the set spatial distribution of the plurality of light modules; generating an illumination command set, including an operating command for each of the plurality of light modules, on the basis of the mapping of the image to the set spatial distribution of the plurality of light modules; and issuing the illumination command set to the plurality of light modules.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ILLUMINATING A MOVING OBJECT WITHIN AN ENCLOSED SPACE
A system for illuminating at least a portion of an object within an enclosed space includes an object configured to be moved within the enclosed space, and a beacon coupled to the object. The beacon is configured to emit a light tracking signal. A light sensor is configured to detect the light tracking signal emitted from the beacon. A lighting control unit in communication with the light sensor is configured to determine a position of the object within the enclosed space based on the light tracking signal as detected by the light sensor. A lighting assembly is in communication with the lighting control unit. The lighting control unit is configured to operate the lighting assembly to emit the illuminating light onto the at least a portion of the object based on the light tracking signal as detected by the light sensor. The system may also be configured to guide a passenger to a seat, and provide way-finding illumination.

Method and system for displaying a moveable lighting scene in a passenger cabin
The present disclosure is generally directed to an interior lighting system for an aircraft, in which individual lighting elements (or groups of lighting elements) can be controlled to emit light of various colors and brightness according to the position of a cart, such as a galley cart. According to an embodiment, a processor that controls the system receives signals from one or more sensors around the aircraft cabin (e.g., radio frequency identification (“RFID”) readers or optical scanners) that indicate the current position of the cart (e.g., by detecting an RFID tag on the cart) and, based on the position of the cart, sends commands to the various lighting elements around the cabin to execute a lighting scene (e.g., gradually raise the lights as the cart comes through).
Illumination device
This illumination device includes an organic EL illumination panel installed in a baggage rack or the like in a fuselage of an aircraft, and a panel driving circuit that drives the organic EL illumination panel and is installed in a different place apart from the organic EL illumination panel in the fuselage to drive the organic EL illumination panel. The organic EL illumination panel includes a plurality of light emitting units including at least a light emitting layer, and a charge generation layer arranged between the plurality of light emitting units to thereby form a multi-photoemission structure, and has a thickness of 5 mm or less in a stacking direction.
