Aircraft emergency lighting system
An aircraft emergency lighting system is disclosed. This emergency lighting system may include interior emergency lighting, interior ambient light sensors, exterior emergency lighting, and exterior ambient light sensors. The interior emergency lighting, the exterior emergency lighting, or both, may be controlled based upon an input of the interior ambient light condition (e.g., using an output from at least one of the interior ambient light sensors) and based upon an input from at least one of the exterior ambient light sensors.

Vehicle dome light
A vehicle roof lighting unit for illuminating an interior compartment of the vehicle. The unit includes one or more direct light emitting elements, wherein each of the direct light emitting elements are configured to illuminate a portion of the interior compartment, and wherein the one or more direct light emitting elements are located on the exterior of the vehicle roof lighting unit. The unit also includes one or more indirect light emitting elements for providing general lighting for the entire interior compartment, wherein the one or more indirect light emitting elements are concealed from view and the light from the one or more indirect light emitting elements reflects off a curved reflective structure. The unit further includes a control panel, wherein the control panel is located on the exterior of the vehicle roof lighting unit.

Disclosed is a lighting control system that transmits lighting control signals digitally over a conductor which also provides power to the lights being controlled. The lighting control system includes a controller which transmits the control signals and one or more receivers that are associate with lights or other loads, the receivers receiving the digital signals from the controller and causing the lights or other loads to perform the actions required by the control signals.

The aircraft cabin lighting arrangement has at least a nominal day time mode of operation having a first light output, an intermediate mode of operation having a second light output, and a nominal night time mode of operation, and is configured to switch from the nominal night time mode of operation to the intermediate mode of operation as a response to the detector detecting a person's presence in the common space.
