METHOD OF OPERATING AN AIRCRAFT CABIN ILLUMINATION SYSTEM, AIRCRAFT CABIN ILLUMINATION SYSTEM, AND AIRCRAFT COMPRISING THE SAME
A method of operating an aircraft cabin illumination system, having a plurality of light modules with a set spatial distribution across an aircraft cabin, includes receiving an image; mapping the image to the set spatial distribution of the plurality of light modules; generating an illumination command set, including an operating command for each of the plurality of light modules, on the basis of the mapping of the image to the set spatial distribution of the plurality of light modules; and issuing the illumination command set to the plurality of light modules.

VEHICLE INTERIOR LIGHTING SYSTEM
A vehicle lighting system for a vehicle a light guide and a light dispensing device configured to receive light from a light source via the light guide and emit the light into an interior of the vehicle. A first end of the light guide is coupled to the light source and a second end of the light guide is coupled to the light dispensing device. The light dispensing device includes a textile configured to dispense the light from the light guide to an interior of the vehicle and a reflector configured to reflect the light within the light dispensing device that is received from the light guide towards the textile.
Illuminated vehicle visual elements with grating film
A vehicle visual element includes a substrate defining a lamp cavity; at least one light source positioned within the lamp cavity; at least one of a holographic and a diffraction grating, disposed over the lamp cavity; a proximity switch positioned close to the lamp cavity; and a controller configured to activate the light source in response to a signal provided by the proximity switch.

Illumination systems for a steering assembly
The present disclosure is directed to an illuminated emblem assembly coupled to a steering wheel assembly and a method of assembling the same. The illuminated emblem assembly includes a conductive plate having a generally U-shape and formed from an electrically conductive material, a light source coupled to a PCB which is coupled to the conductive plate such that an electrical signal is provided to the light source from the vehicle control system via the PCB. The emblem assembly includes a base disposed on a top surface of the conductive plate also having a generally U-shape where the base includes an opening adjacent the light source for directing light emitted from the light source towards a U-shaped volume defined by a top surface of the base. Light is transmitted from the light source towards the user through an outer cap being disposed over the base.

Illuminated decorative part
An illuminated decorative part includes a flat visible side facing an observer and an illumination region behind the visible side as viewed by the observer, which has multiple discrete light sources. At least partially transparent optical elements that influence the light are arranged between the visible side and the illumination region. The optical elements include at least one flat scattering element. The decorative part includes light guides for guiding the light orthogonally to the surface of the visible side arranged between the scattering element and at least onebut not allof the light sources.
