LIGHTING SYSTEM FOR MOTOR VEHICLE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT
A motor vehicle passenger compartment lighting system includes semiconductor light-emitting light sources and a substrate on which the light sources are grown. The light sources define a plurality of light-emitting zones (Sa, Slg, Sld), and the system is configured to activate the light source or sources of the same zone independently from one zone to another. The plurality of zones (Sa, Slg, Sld) are configured to emit beams intended to produce different lighting effects from one zone to another.
ILLUMINATION UNIT AND VEHICLE
An illumination unit for an interior chamber of a vehicle includes at least one light source integrated into a surface side of a sun shield facing towards an occupant in a non-usage position of the sun shield. The at least one light source emits light in the activated state which is directed towards the occupant. A covering element is provided for covering a light outlet surface of the light source.
COMPONENT FOR A VEHICLE INTERIOR
An interior component for a vehicle is disclosed. The interior component may be configured to include portions facing the passenger compartment of the vehicle that can be illuminated by a light source providing light. The interior component may comprise a panel having a first side facing the passenger compartment, and a fabric having optical fibers wrapped around an edge of the panel and along at least part of the first side. The optical fibers may be coupled to the light source and configured to transmit light through the fabric. The fabric may be configured to transmit the light by total internal reflection. The fabric may be configured illuminated portions on the first side of the panel where total internal reflection is prevented to allow the light to be emitted only at the illuminated portions. The fabric may be configured with different designs, patterns or shapes corresponding to the illuminated portions.
Illumination device
This illumination device includes an organic EL illumination panel installed in a baggage rack or the like in a fuselage of an aircraft, and a panel driving circuit that drives the organic EL illumination panel and is installed in a different place apart from the organic EL illumination panel in the fuselage to drive the organic EL illumination panel. The organic EL illumination panel includes a plurality of light emitting units including at least a light emitting layer, and a charge generation layer arranged between the plurality of light emitting units to thereby form a multi-photoemission structure, and has a thickness of 5 mm or less in a stacking direction.
Adjustable Truck Cover Light
A pickup truck is provided that includes a tonneau cover or bed cap that includes a lighting system. The light system is selectively attached to the tonneau cover or bed cap. The light system includes a longitudinally extending rod having an illuminating portion extending along at least a portion of the longitudinal extent of the rod. The longitudinally extending rod includes first and second end portions and an on/off switch located at least adjacent to the first end portion of the longitudinally extending rod. At least one clip is attached to the tonneau cover or bed cap that selectively holds the longitudinally extending rod. The longitudinally extending rod is pivotable within the at least one clip such that the illuminating portion is selectively directable toward different directions.
ILLUMINATION APPARATUS
An illumination apparatus includes a woven fabric in which optical fibers are woven as a constituent yarn and a light source. The illumination apparatus makes light delivered from the light source incident upon the end surfaces on one end side of the optical fibers and emits the light at least from the end surfaces on the other end side of the optical fibers for illumination. The other end side of the optical fibers is exposed from the woven fabric to constitute exposed parts, and the end parts of a plurality of the exposed parts on the other end side are supported by an end part support to form emitting parts which emit light from the light source. On the end part support, the end parts of the exposed parts on the other end side are individually supported such that their respective end surfaces are aligned on the same plane.
LOAD FLOOR WITH ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS
A load floor assembly for a motor vehicle. The load floor assembly comprises a structural core, a first surface layer situated on a first side of the structural core, and a second surface layer situated on a second side of the structural core. The load floor assembly also includes an embedded layer positioned intermediate at least one of the first and second surface layers and the structural core. At least one electronic component is incorporated into the embedded layer, to provide a secondary functionality to the load floor assembly.
AREA LIGHT INTEGRATED IN A CABIN FURNISHING ELEMENT
A cabin furnishing element for a cabin, such as a cabin of an aircraft, includes a panel having a panel body. The panel body includes an illumination surface having an illumination zone, and defines a lighting recess within the panel body relative to the illumination surface. The panel also includes a lighting system having a light source assembly and a light guide. The light source assembly and light guide are retained within the lighting recess defined by the panel body. The lighting system is adapted to selectively illuminate a portion of the illumination zone.
Lighting Systems
Lighting may be provided using light sources such as lighting systems with arrays of light-emitting diodes. A lighting system may be integrated into a seat, a door panel, a dashboard, or other interior portions of a system such as a vehicle. The interior portions of the vehicle may be illuminated using lighting systems to provide ambient light, to provide custom surface textures and other decorative patterns, to provide icons, text, and other information, and to provide custom gauges and other illuminated regions. Illuminated regions may overlap sensors such as capacitive touch sensors, force sensors, and other sensors. The light-emitting diodes in a lighting system may supply light that passes through openings in a cover layer. The layer may be formed from fabric, leather, or other materials. Lens structures may guide light through the openings.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OBJECT DETECTION IN THE INTERIOR OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
An object detection device for detecting at least one object (e.g. moving), in form of a vehicle occupant or in form of at least a part of the vehicle occupant, in the interior of a motor vehicle, includes a camera system comprising at least one sensor for converting electromagnetic radiation into electrical signals and a lighting device with at least one light source and an optic system, and a control or regulating device which is designed to receive one or more of the electrical signals from the camera system or data from at least one sensor, at least one further device or at least one device of the motor vehicle, to generate control commands and to transmit them to the camera system, the at least one further device or the at least one device of the motor vehicle.
