A lighting control device of a vehicle headlamp includes a lighting control part that controls an on state of the vehicle headlamp, an obstacle detecting part for detecting an obstacle that exists in front of the vehicle, and a collision prediction processing part that, when the obstacle exists on the basis of detection results from the obstacle detecting part, predicts a possibility of collision between the obstacle and the vehicle on the basis of a distance between the obstacle and the vehicle and a speed of the vehicle and, when it is determined that the possibility of collision exists, instructs the lighting control part to relatively decrease an output light of the vehicle headlamp to below a normal intensity of the vehicle headlamp.

MONITORING DEVICE AND LIGHT DISTRIBUTION CONTROL DEVICE FOR LAMP

A monitoring device includes a comparison unit and a clock control unit. The comparison unit is configured to compare a signal level of a transmission signal and a signal level of a monitoring signal that has received the transmission signal with each other at a timing synchronized with a clock signal. The clock control unit is configured to detect the signal level of the monitoring signal and synchronize the clock signal with a timing when the signal level of the monitoring signal changes.

HEAD LAMP APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE

A head lamp apparatus may control a supply of power to a laser diode based on a quantity of white light outputted to an outside environment in the head lamp apparatus using the laser diode as a light source, and controls a power supply using only a quantity of pure white light excluding noise light when the supply of power to the laser diode is controlled, thus maximally preventing blue laser beams, which are harmful to human bodies, from being exposed to the outside environment, and allowing an operation of a head lamp to be precisely controlled.

To improve the reliability of an automatic leveling control device for a vehicular lamp using acceleration sensors. The device variably controls optical axis of the lamp according to the attitude change in a vehicle including (a) a sensor abnormality determination part which determines if a first acceleration sensor is abnormal based on first acceleration values detected by the first sensor, (b) an angle calculation part using the first accelerations value to obtain an attitude angle when the sensor abnormality determination part determines there is no abnormality in the first sensor, and uses second acceleration values detected by a second acceleration sensor when the sensor abnormality determination part determines there is an abnormality in the first sensor, and (c) an optical axis setting part which generates a control signal for the optical axis based on the attitude angle obtained by the angle calculation part, and provides the signal to the lamp.

VEHICULAR CONTROL SYSTEM WITH TEMPERATURE INPUT
20180304812 · 2018-10-25 ·

A vehicular control system includes a camera, a controller having a processor that processes captured image data, and an exterior temperature sensor. Responsive, at least in part, to a temperature input from the temperature sensor, the controller switches processing of captured image data between (a) a normal processing mode and (b) a cold weather processing mode. Responsive to the temperature input being indicative of the exterior temperature being below a first threshold temperature, the controller processes captured image data in the cold weather processing mode to enhance blockage detection of frost or snow or ice at the camera. When the controller is operating in the cold weather processing mode, the controller switches processing of captured image data to the normal processing mode responsive to the temperature input being indicative of the exterior temperature being above a second threshold temperature that is greater than the first threshold temperature.

A laser head lamp for a vehicle includes: a plurality of lamp modules each comprising a laser diode and configured to output at least one of a low beam or a high beam; at least one processor; and a computer-readable medium coupled to the at least one processor having stored thereon instructions which, when executed by the at least one processor, causes the at least one processor to perform operations comprising: acquiring total operation time of each of the plurality of lamp modules; and controlling, based on the acquired total operation times, at least one first lamp module among the plurality of lamp modules differently from at least one second lamp module among the plurality of lamp modules.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETECTING OBSTRUCTIONS IN A CAMERA FIELD OF VIEW

A system mounted on a vehicle for detecting an obstruction on a surface of a window of the vehicle, a primary camera is mounted inside the vehicle behind the window. The primary camera is configured to acquire images of the environment through the window. A secondary camera is focused on an external surface of the window, and operates to image the obstruction. A portion of the window, i.e. window region is subtended respectively by the field of view of the primary camera and the field of view of the secondary camera. A processor processes respective sequences of image data from both the primary camera and the secondary camera.
