Method and apparatus to dispense fluid onto a target area of a surface
A device for dispensing liquid onto a target area of a vehicle surface is described, and includes a mixing valve that is in communication with a pressurized fluidic supply system via a fluidic distribution system, and a controller. The mixing valve includes an outlet orifice that is disposed proximal to the target area, and the mixing valve includes first and second valve conduits that are fluidly connected to the outlet orifice via a mixing portion. The first valve conduit includes a first control valve, and the second valve conduit includes a second control valve. The fluidic distribution system includes a first fluidic conduit and a second fluidic conduit. The controller is operatively connected to the fluidic supply system, and the first and second control valves.
VIEWING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
A viewing device for a vehicle includes a viewing assistance portion configured to assist viewing by an occupant of the vehicle. A housing body houses the viewing assistance portion. An opening portion is formed in a panel member to penetrate at a peripheral portion of a main surface side of the viewing assistance portion. A nozzle in the housing body is displaceable to project/retract from the opening portion. When projecting from the opening portion, the nozzle is configured to direct washing liquid from a jetting port at a distal end portion side of the nozzle toward the main surface side of the viewing assistance portion. A cover is displaceable between a closing position and an opening position. A mechanism is operable, using a force of the nozzle being displaced, to displace the cover.
VEHICULAR EXTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY
A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mounting arm, a mirror head and an electrically-operated actuator. The mounting arm includes a base mounting portion that is configured for attachment at an exterior side portion of a vehicle. The mirror head includes a mirror reflective element sub-assembly. The actuator is secured at an actuator-mounting bracket of the mounting arm. With the mirror assembly mounted at an exterior portion of a side door of a vehicle, electrical operation of the actuator moves the mirror head to adjust a rearward view provided by the mirror reflective element to the driver of the vehicle viewing the mirror reflective element. A mounting post of the mounting arm passes through an opening of the mirror head that provides clearance between the mirror head and the mounting arm to allow movement of the mirror head relative to the mounting arm during electrical operation of the actuator.
Vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly with blind spot indicator element
A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror reflective element sub-assembly having a mirror reflective element and a mirror back plate. The mirror back plate is attached to the glass substrate of the mirror reflective element. The mirror back plate includes first structure that is configured to attach at an actuator. An indicator element is disposed at second structure of the mirror back plate. An icon is established through a metallic reflector coating disposed at the glass substrate. The icon includes a light-transmitting aperture and, when the vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly is attached at the vehicle, the icon is at an outboard region of the mirror reflective element. When the vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly is attached at the vehicle and when a light source of the indicator element is activated, the icon is illuminated and is viewable by the driver of the vehicle.
Sensor cleaning apparatus, systems, and related methods for use with vehicles
Sensor cleaning apparatus, systems, and related methods for use with vehicles are disclosed. A disclosed apparatus includes a sensor of a vehicle. The apparatus also includes a motor operatively coupled to the sensor to enable the sensor to move within a cavity of the vehicle. The apparatus also includes a wiper fixedly coupled to the vehicle and partially defining the cavity. An edge of the wiper is to engage the sensor when the sensor moves to remove debris.
Vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly with a mirror reflective element assembly having a main reflective element and an auxiliary wide angle reflective element
A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror reflective element assembly. The mirror reflective element assembly includes a main reflective element backing plate and a main reflective element. The main reflective element includes a glass substrate having a mirror reflector coated at a surface thereof. The mirror reflector-coated glass substrate of the main reflective element is attached at the main reflective element backing plate. The mirror reflective element assembly includes an auxiliary reflective element backing plate and an auxiliary wide angle reflective element. The auxiliary wide angle reflective element is positioned on the auxiliary reflective element backing plate. The auxiliary reflective element backing plate is attached to the main reflective element backing plate via an attachment mechanism.
Vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly with blind spot indicator module
A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror reflective element sub-assembly having a mirror reflective element, a mirror reflector, a mirror back plate, a heater pad and a blind spot indicator module. The heater pad is disposed between the mirror reflective element and the mirror back plate and has a light transmitting portion that is aligned with an aperture of the mirror back plate. The blind spot indicator module includes a body portion and a connector portion extending from the body portion. Light emitted by at least one light emitting diode of the blind spot indicator module passes through the light transmitting portion of the heater pad and through a light-transmitting portion of the mirror reflector and exits the mirror reflective element to provide a visual icon visible to a driver of the vehicle who is driving the vehicle and who is viewing said mirror reflective element.
Vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly with blind spot indicator element
A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror reflective element sub-assembly having a mirror reflective element, a mirror back plate and a heater pad disposed between the mirror reflective element and the mirror back plate. The heater pad is adhered via a pressure sensitive adhesive to the glass substrate of the mirror reflective element, and the mirror back plate is adhered via a pressure sensitive adhesive to the heater pad. The mirror back plate includes first structure that is configured to attach at an actuator. A blind spot indicator element is disposed second structure of the mirror back plate. When the vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly is attached at the vehicle and when a light source of the indicator element is activated, an icon present at an outboard region of said electrochromic mirror reflective element is illuminated and is viewable by the driver of the vehicle.
