Viewing device for a vehicle
A viewing device for a vehicle including: a supporting body provided at a vehicle body side; a pivoting body that is pivotably supported at the supporting body, with a gap being provided between the pivoting body and the supporting body in a radial direction of pivoting; a viewing instrument that is provided at the pivoting body, that facilitates viewing by a vehicle occupant, and that is folded in or folded out as a result of the pivoting body being pivoted to one side or to another side; and a restricting portion that is provided at one of the supporting body or the pivoting body, and that restricts communication between one side and another side of the gap, with the restriction of communication between the one side and the other side of the gap being released when the viewing instrument is folded in or folded out.

EXTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY
An exterior rearview mirror assembly configured for mounting at a vehicle includes a mounting arm, an electrically operated actuator at one end of the mounting arm, an attachment portion at the other end of the mounting arm, and an exterior mirror head movable relative to the mounting arm via the actuator. The exterior mirror head includes an exterior mirror reflective element attached at an attachment plate of the exterior mirror head. The exterior mirror reflective element attached at the attachment plate moves in tandem with movement of the exterior mirror head relative to the mounting arm when the driver of the equipped vehicle operates the actuator. The attachment plate of the exterior mirror head includes wall structure that extends from the front side of the attachment plate. No part of the exterior mirror head encroaches onto or overlaps the outermost side of the exterior mirror reflective element.

Vehicle controlling side mirror when performing automatic parking and operation method of the same
A vehicle includes a sensor device configured to collect data on regions around the vehicle, and an automatic parking controller configured to generate a folding signal or an unfolding signal for a side mirror based on the data collected by the sensor device and a state of the side mirror when performing automatic parking.

SIDE AND REAR REFLECTION CONTROLLER AND SIDE AND REAR REFLECTION CONTROL METHOD
The present invention is intended to encourage a driver to visually recognize a direction from the side and rear of a vehicle and requiring visual recognition by the driver at a complicated intersection. A side and rear reflection controller of the present invention includes: a geometry recognition unit that recognizes the geometry of an intersection having same direction entry lanes; a position recognition unit that recognizes the position of the own vehicle relative to the intersection; a visibility direction setting unit that sets a part from the side and rear of the own vehicle as a recommended visibility direction on the basis of the position of the own vehicle relative to the intersection and the same direction entry lanes; and a control unit that controls the side and rear reflection display device so as to present an image in the recommended visibility direction to the driver.
Autonomous vehicle adapted for sleeping or resting in a reclined posture
A vehicle has an automatically tiltable seat, a plurality of seat actuators fully supporting the automatically-tiltable seat to enable the automatically tiltable seat to pitch or roll to compensate for motion of the vehicle, and a processor to predict the motion of the vehicle and to control the plurality of seat actuators. The plurality of seat actuators automatically adjust the pitch or roll of the automatically tiltable seat in response to the motion of the vehicle. The seat actuators also provide shock absorption.

Exterior rearview mirror assembly
An exterior rearview mirror assembly configured for mounting at an exterior portion of a vehicle includes a mounting arm configured for attachment at the vehicle, a mirror head disposed at an end of the mounting arm and movable relative to the mounting arm, and an electrically operated actuator operable to move the mirror head relative to the mounting arm. The mirror head includes a mirror reflective element that, when the actuator is electrically operated, moves in tandem with the mirror head. The actuator, with the mounting arm attached at the exterior portion of the vehicle, and when the actuator is electrically operated, moves the mirror head relative to the mounting arm to vertically and horizontally adjust a rearward field of view of a driver of the vehicle who is viewing the mirror reflective element.
