A method of assembling a mirror head for a vehicular interior rearview mirror assembly includes providing a mirror casing, a mirror reflective element at the mirror casing, and a toggle mechanism, which includes a body portion and a toggle lever joined to the body portion. A lower pivot mount of the toggle mechanism is inserted into a lower receiving portion of the mirror casing and an upper pivot mount of the toggle mechanism is inserted into an upper receiving portion of the mirror casing. An outer surface of the body portion corresponds with adjacent outer surfaces of the mirror casing, and, when the toggle lever pivots relative to the lower receiving portion of the mirror casing, the mirror casing pivots relative to the body portion to flip the mirror head between a first orientation and a second orientation.

METHOD FOR PROTECTING AND CONCEALING SEAL IN ELECTRO-OPTIC WINDOW

An electro-optic window comprises a first substrate; an electro-optic element generally parallel to the first substrate, the electro-optic element comprising: a second substrate; a third substrate generally parallel to the second substrate; a sealing member disposed along at least a portion of a perimeter of one of the second and third substrates and extending therebetween; and a cavity defined between the second and third substrates. The sealing member defines the sidewalls of the cavity. A first layer of film having a perimeter portion and a central portion is disposed between at least a portion of the first and second substrates, and may be coextensive with the sealing member.

A system for variable transmittance mirrors is disclosed wherein the variable transmittance mirrors may be controlled in response to images captured from a camera. The system may comprise a first imager, a first variable transmittance mirror, and a controller. The first imager comprises a pixel array. Further, the first imager is configured to capture image data. The first variable transmittance mirror has a first level of transmittance. Finally, the controller is configured to assign a first light intensity value to one or more pixels and change the first level of transmittance to a second level of transmittance based at least in part on the detected first light intensity. Such as system has the advantage of eliminating the need for a dedicated glare sensor, therefore reducing the number of devices, the costs, obstructions in a user's field of view, and a more aesthetically appealing appearance.

REARVIEW DISPLAY DEVICE, REARVIEW DISPLAY METHOD, AND PROGRAM

A video processing unit generates a conversion video having the same angle of view as an angle of view of a mirror image by converting a camera video. The video processing unit causes the generated conversion video to be displayed in a display region such that the conversion video is superimposed on the mirror image.

DISPLAY SYSTEM, ELECTRONIC MIRROR SYSTEM, AND MOVING VEHICLE

A display system according to the present disclosure includes at least a first reflective surface and a second reflective surface on an optical path leading from a display device to a last reflective surface. The first reflective surface reflects a light beam emerging from the display device toward the second reflective surface. The second reflective surface reflects, toward the last reflective surface, the light beam reflected from the first reflective surface. The light beam emerging from the display device travels along a first optical path leading from a display screen of the display device to the first reflective surface and then travels along a second optical path leading from the second reflective surface to the last reflective surface. The first optical path and the second optical path intersect with each other before the light beam impinges on the last reflective surface.
