Vehicle rack for both short and long ladders
Provided herein is a novel vehicle mounted ladder rack which advantageously combines the ability to carry a short ladder vertically and/or to support one end of a long ladder horizontally. The novel ladder rack of the invention allows workers to select the appropriate ladder length for a particular job and transport it using only a single rack.
Vehicle ladder mounting system for custom installations
The Vehicle Ladder Mounting System is comprised of two parallel or nearly parallel (angled) guide rails and one or two end accepting means. The embodiments of the Ladder Mounting System can be easily adapted, augmented, and modified because of the structure of the guide rails (or aluminum channels in the guide rails). The vehicle ladder mounting system can be mounted to a tubular or solid cross-member by a clamping means using a universal mounting clamp. The design of the embodiments of the Ladder Mounting System allows for multiple configurations as the guide rails can be adjusted to fit the width and/or angle of the ladder. The design of the embodiments of the Ladder Mounting System allows the width and/or angle to be fixed by means of the use of interior cross-member assemblies thus forming a cradle to support the ladder.
Rear Loading, Drop Down Ladder Rack System & Method Of Use
One embodiment of a ladder rack system and method of use are described. The system may have a ladder rack frame with an inner rail and an outer rail. The system may also have a ladder rack bed that is selectively moveable with respect to the ladder rack frame. The ladder rack bed may have an inner beam and an outer beam. The system may also have a driveshaft and at least one driveline arm that are connected together. The driveline arm is also connected to the ladder rack bed.
Ladder storage assembly
The present invention relates to a storage assembly for storing a foldable ladder within a structure. The assembly includes a first protrusion connectable to first rails of the ladder. The assembly includes a second protrusion connectable to second rails of the ladder. Each of the protrusions includes an enlarged distal end portion. The assembly includes a linear guide track connectable to the structure and to which the distal end portions of the protrusions are slidably received and retained when the ladder is in a folded position. The ladder couples to the structure thereby.
Ladder Stop and Method
A ladder stop for securing a ladder vehicle rack includes a hook that contacts the ladder and holds the ladder to the rack. The stop includes a clamp which removably attaches to the rack and from which the hook rotates and extends and moves up and down to hold the ladder. The stop includes a locking mechanism that locks the hook in a desired position. The stop includes a handle disposed adjacent a bottom of the hook for a user to grab and pull the hook down to secure the hook in place with the ladder. A method for securing a ladder to a vehicle rack.
Releasable ladder locking system
A ladder locking system that secures an extension ladder to an accessory rack mounted to a vehicle to define a secured position is provided. The secured ladder is prevented from moving fore or aft relative to the rack. The secured ladder is also prevented from moving laterally relative to the rack and vehicle by the downwardly directed force and engagement provided by the locking system. The locking system is movable to a released position wherein the ladder is not engaged by the locking system and thus can be removed from the ladder rack by an operator. An intermediate position occurs when the operator actuates the locking system between the secured and released positions depending upon whether the ladder is being readied for securement in the rack or being readied for removal from the rack.
LADDER MOUNTING SYSTEM
A ladder mounting system includes a mounting bracket assembly having a top-bracket including a top-bracket-body, a first-section, and a second-section, at least one bottom-bracket, a bottom-bracket-body, and a substantially u-shaped clip. The mounting bracket assembly may be attached to a stationary-ladder on a recreational vehicle and support an additional item such as a ladder on the stationary-ladder. The device provides convenience and peace of mind to users by allowing them to quickly and easily secure a multitude of items to their stationary-ladder.
Ladder Rack Belt is an apparatus to secure Extension and Step Style Ladders to any general-purpose overhead ladder rack for Transportation
A Locking/Tightening mechanism to secure Extension and Step Style Ladders to any general-purpose overhead ladder rack for transportation. The apparatus creates an enclosed system by contouring to the ladder rail or steps and provides a one-way mating Terminal Buckler at the end of its enclosed Belt thereby locking the Ladders securely to the Ladder Rack cross rails.
Truck ladder rack
A ladder rack which is removably mounted on the top edge of a pick-up bed for hauling ladders. The ladder rack can be quickly installed or removed from the pick-up bed without damaging the bed finish. Because the ladder rack is modular, the disassembled rack components can be folded into a space saving configuration for storage.
Low profile ladder rack
A ladder rack for a motor vehicle similar to what is shown in U.S. Pat. No. 6,764,268, but differing therefrom in that the top surfaces of the stationary bar member and the movable bar member are coplanar and in a side-by-side relationship when the load being carried is atop the vehicle's roof rather than being stacked, one-above-the-other, as in the prior art. As such, the ladder rack of the present invention exhibits a reduced height profile.
