Object holder integrated with an air register in a vehicle
An object holder attached to an air register of a vehicle is provided. The holder comprises an outer member detachably connected to a bezel of the air register and configured to be pivotable away from the bezel; an inner member slidably connected to the outer member. The inner member includes a sliding mechanism and a base, and the sliding mechanism is configured to slide along an inner surface of the outer member. The sliding mechanism is stowed inside the frame at a non-use position and the sliding member is at an extended state and outside the frame at a use position. At the use position, both the outer member and the inner member are translated and pivoted away from the air register.
MESSAGING SYSTEM
A messaging system includes a message board and a remote communicatively coupled to the message board and configured for receiving a user input. In the system, the remote is configured to transmit a message to the message board with instructions for displaying a message based on the user input. In some configurations, the messaging system can be installed in a vehicle. In such configuration, the message board can be communicatively coupled to an on-board diagnostics port of the vehicle.
Adjustable portable device holder
Adjustable portable device holders are herein disclosed. According to one embodiment, an adjustable portable device holder includes an adjustable clamping element and a rotatable mounting element attached to the adjustable clamping element for removably securing a portable device to the adjustable portable device holder.
Ventilation-mounted holder, in particular for electronic devices
A ventilation-mounted holder for attachment on a ventilation lamella assembly in vehicles for mounting electronic devices or other articles includes a carrier body onto which a holding bracket for engagement over a ventilation lamella is arranged on the backside, and a holding device for a smartphone or a tablet is arranged on the front side. The carrier body is configured as an elongated carrier arm. The holding bracket and at least one further holding bracket are each arranged rotatably and spaced apart from one another on an end region of the carrier arm, and the holding device is arranged on the opposite end region of the carrier arm.
Indexable vent mount
A vent mount including a base and a head coupled to the base. A retainer of the base is movable between an extended position for insertion into a vehicle air vent and a retracted position to capture a louver of the vehicle air vent to hold the vent mount on the vehicle air vent. The head is configured to engage with a case for positioning a handheld electronic device relative to the vehicle air vent.
Accessory mount for portable electronic devices
An accessory mount for a portable electronic device includes: a main body including first and second legs which meet at mutual proximate ends thereof so as to form an L-shape; a first flange disposed at a distal end of the first leg that extends away from the first leg in a direction opposite to the second leg; and a second flange disposed at a distal end of the second leg that extends away from the second leg in a direction opposite to the first leg.
Device to prevent a computing unit from overheating
Disclosed is a device to be utilized in a vehicle to prevent a computing unit from overheating. The device includes a holder having a plurality of air vents, a plastic flexible hose, a shade, a reducer, and a plurality of alligator clips. The reducer is mounted on an air conditioning (AC) vent by utilizing the plurality of alligator clips. The holder includes a front portion and rear portion to accommodate the computing unit. The reducer is mounted in a way to guide the cool air to the plurality of air vents of the holder through the plastic flexible hose. The plurality of air vents is configured at a front portion of the holder to prevent the battery of the computing unit from overheating. Further, the shade is configured on a top portion of the holder to protect the computing unit from the sun.
ROTATIONALLY LIMITED CONNECTION SYSTEM
A rotationally limited connection system that includes a first mount to hold an object or couple with an object, a first ferromagnetic coupling element that includes a material attracted to a magnet or wherein the material includes the magnet, an a first mechanical coupling element. The first mechanical coupling element includes at least one protrusion to limit rotation of the first mount with respect to another object in 90 degrees increments. The first mount is coupled with the first ferromagnetic coupling element and the first mechanical coupling element.
Mounting device and method for remotely mounting cell phone to vehicle vent register
A tripod is used for remotely mounting cell phone to vehicle vent register without blocking air flow. One leg has a U hook rotatable for engaging to either a horizontal or vertical louver of vent register. Two other legs are bendable to position their bottom ends in contact with surface area outside of vent register, below U hook and at a sufficient distance apart, for supporting the device and preventing the rotational and swivel movements of the device.
