Upon returning the barrier to the first position, the indicator remains in the second state until the indicator reset to the first state.

A corresponding method includes determining a passenger seat location for a user, accessing seat assignment information for the user, confirming that user is assigned to the passenger seat location, and enabling the user to access a potentially hazardous device stored within an isolation chamber corresponding to the passenger seat.
