A barrier to partition the interior of a vehicle is disclosed, comprising an extendable barrier configured to adapt to the dimensions of the interior of a vehicle via one or more sliding tracks. At least one connection apparatus is releasably connected to the extendable barrier to at least one seat of the vehicle. The connection apparatus comprises a screw unit to compensate for varying angles within the interior of the vehicle and to retain the extendable barrier on the seat of the vehicle.

Various mountings are disclosed for holding a portable screen device in an attitude for hands-free viewing. The mountings are particularly, but not exclusively, useful for supporting portable screen devices (522, FIG. 5A) from the seat-back trays (528) found in passenger vehicles, when the trays are in the “up” position. Each mounting comprises a pair of hooked members (510), each hooked member having a spine (515) provided with first and second hook portions (512, 514) arranged on opposite sides of the spine to face in mutually opposed directions. Each hook portion (512, 514) comprises an open end and a closed end bounded by outer and inner, mutually opposed sides of the hook portion. Various embodiments are disclosed that are also capable of supporting portable screen devices when seat-back trays are in the “down” position, see e.g., FIG. 5B. In most embodiments, both hook portions (512, 514) are unitary with the spine (515), which comprises the inner side of both hook portions, but embodiments are also proposed in which the first hook portion (612, FIG. 6) is formed separately from the spine (615) and is selectively positionable thereon. When in use as a mounting, the hooked members 510, FIG. 5 A) are spaced apart from each other and the second hook portions (514) receive the screen device (522), which spans the distance between the hooked members.

The present technology relates generally to movable personal electronic device (PED) holder assemblies that can be attached to seat-back assemblies mounted on vehicle seats, such as in an airplane, train, bus, or other vehicle. The PED holder assembly can be partially inserted into the seat-back pocket or set on top of a surface and has a receiving portion that extends down from a clip portion. The receiving portion includes legs extending down from the clip, a support portion, and retention shoulders, and is configured to receive and hold onto a PED without need for user involvement after placing the PED in a receiving area. Further, the receiving portion is configured to not impede access to the tray table locking mechanism on a seat-back assembly and is configured to allow the tray table to be moved from a folded-up position to a folded-down position without having to move the PED holder.

The ski rack can be adapted to secure to a backside of a rear seat in a vehicle and receive one or more pairs of skis thereon. The main body of the ski rack can include a front section sloping up to a second flat section. The at least one strap can be located in the second section and can be implemented to secure the pairs of skis to the ski rack.

The voice recognition system is configured to: determine a location of a speaker who presses the button based on the contact area; select the first microphone and the second microphone as a main microphone and an auxiliary microphone, respectively, based on a determination that the speaker is located in a first seat; and select the second microphone and the first microphone as the main microphone and the auxiliary microphone, respectively, based on a determination that the speaker is located in a second seat.
