Cargo delivery system adapter for an electric vehicle

The present technology provides a cargo adapter that can be inserted into a passenger compartment of a mixed-use vehicle that can be anchored to existing anchor points in the vehicle. The cargo adapter can then receive, secure, and support a cargo locker in a way that safely secures the cargo and avoids wear on the interior surfaces of the passenger compartment. The present technology further provides a system for transporting a cargo locker to a vehicle and inserting the cargo adapter and cargo locker into the vehicle quickly and easily.

A floor drawer is provided which is mounted so as to be below the floor when in the fully closed or storage position, and movable so as to be above the floor when in an accessible or open position. The floor drawer can be mounted to a support structure connected under the floor and then selectively slidable along a Lazy S track to emerge from the floor to rest on the floor, after a cover is opened. When in the closed position, the cover serves as an extension of the floor over the floor drawer opening. In vehicular applications, the support structure for the floor drawer is mounted between chassis beams or peripheral frame structure for the floor. The vertical component of the Lazy S track elevates the floor drawer over the vertical component of the chassis beam or frame structure, and the horizontal component of the Lazy S track guides the floor drawer toward or away from access doors to the vehicle exterior. In RV applications, the floor drawer can be mounted within exterior pass-through storage compartments, in removable or fixed configurations, without restricting the pass-through function of such storage compartments. The floor drawer can be ventilated to the vehicle exterior and/or be lockable to provide a secure and hidden storage area. The support structure for the floor drawer accommodates are variety of aesthetically pleasing floor drawer configurations.

A vehicular locking unit includes an engaging portion provided at an internal member of a vehicle to face an internal space in the vehicle, a hook portion, which is provided at an internal portion of the vehicle and which is selectively engaged with the engaging portion to attach the internal portion to the internal member in the internal space, and a locking mechanism, which is provided at the internal portion and which is coupled to the hook portion to selectively actuate the hook portion, whereby the hook portion is engaged with or disengaged from the engaging portion to attach the internal portion to the internal member or detach the same therefrom.

An underbody camera located beneath and within a wheel base of a vehicle includes a mounting bracket coupled to the vehicle, a camera housing, and a camera. The camera housing is coupled to the mounting bracket and defines an interior camera compartment. The camera is coupled to the camera housing and is arranged to lie within the interior camera compartment.

SUPPORT STRUCTURE FOR ON-VEHICLE HIGH VOLTAGE COMPONENT

A support structure for supporting a flat inverter located between seats aligned along the vehicle width direction is provided. A bracket supports the inverter in a horizontal position above a floor tunnel of a floor between the seats in a passenger compartment such that it is spaced apart from the floor tunnel. The bracket has a pair of rear leg portions aligned along the vehicle width direction. Middle parts of the pair of rear leg portions are formed so as to be easily bent outward or inward in the vehicle width direction. When a load is applied to the bracket due to movement of the seats during a side impact on the vehicle, the pair of rear leg portions bend, and the horizontal position of the inverter is disrupted.

A system for generating a centrally located floating image display for a plurality of passengers positioned within a vehicle includes a plurality of displays adapted to project a graphic light image, a plurality of beam splitters, one beam splitter individually associated with each one of the plurality of displays, each beam splitter adapted to receive a graphic light image from the associated one of the plurality of displays and to reflect the graphic light image to one of the plurality of passengers, wherein, each of the plurality of passengers perceives a floating image at a central location within the vehicle.
