Vehicle sensor systems
Vehicle sensor systems include modular sensor kits having one or more pods (e.g., sensor roof pods) and/or one or more bumpers (e.g., sensor bumpers). The sensor roof pods are configured to couple to a vehicle. A sensor roof pod may be positioned atop a vehicle proximate a front of the vehicle, proximate a back of the vehicle, or at any position along a top side of the vehicle being coupled, for example, using a mounting shim or a tripod. The sensor roof pods can include sensors (e.g., LIDAR sensors, cameras, ultrasonic sensors, etc.), processing units, control systems (e.g., temperature and/or environmental control systems), and communication devices (e.g., networking and/or wireless devices).
Portable device holder for vehicle CD-slot mounting
Disclosed is a portable device holder for vehicle CD-slot mounting, and more particularly to a portable device holder for vehicle CD-slot mounting, in which a facing distance between a movable piece and a stationary piece to be inserted in a CD slot of a vehicle becomes shorter when external forces act thereon, and the facing distance between the movable piece and the stationary piece to be inserted in the CD slot of the vehicle becomes longer when no external forces act thereon, thereby being easily inserted in and mounted to the CD slot of the vehicle and keeping a stable and secured mounting state.
Latch device
An illustrative embodiment includes a latch rotatably mounted on a support bracket and including first and second flanges that define therebetween a notch configured to receive a striker bar. The latch is rotatable into a closed position with the striker bar received in the notch responsive to the first flange being moved against the striker bar. A pawl having an inner edge and a cam edge is rotatably mounted on the support bracket. An outer side of the first flange is configured to engage the inner edge to hold the pawl in an unlocked position responsive to the latch being in an open position. The pawl is configured to rotate and the cam edge is configured to move against the first side of the first flange to hold the latch in the closed position responsive to the latch rotating past the inner edge of the pawl.
Speaker assembly with resilient mounting arrangement for a vehicle and associated methods
A speaker assembly may be for being resiliently mounted to spaced apart frame members of a vehicle. The speaker assembly may include an elongate housing having a respective retention chamber at each opposing end, and audio speakers and associated wireless receiver circuitry carried by the housing. The speaker assembly may also include a respective inboard elastomeric body within each retention chamber, and a respective vehicle frame mounting bracket at each end of the elongate housing and to be mounted to an adjacent frame member of the vehicle. The assembly may further include respective fasteners coupling each vehicle frame mounting bracket to the elongate housing via a corresponding inboard elastomeric body so that each vehicle frame mounting bracket is resiliently coupled to the elongate housing.
Light bracket for use on truck grille
A first LED lamp bracket is provided that can be fixed to an interior portion of a front grille section that is part of an engine hood assembly of a motorized vehicle. The LED lamps are located on the LED lamp bracket such that they are clearly visible through the engine hood front grille assembly. The LED lamp bracket assembly is designed such that it takes advantage of the spacing of the grille openings such that the LED lamps are visible when the LED lamp bracket is attached to the motorized vehicle. The first LED lamp bracket can be used with a 2014 Ford F150 truck. According to further aspects of the embodiments, a second LED lamp bracket assembly is provided that includes substantially identical design features, but which is fitted to a 2015 Ford F150 truck.
APPARATUS FOR COVERING AN EDGE OF A RIGID STRUCTURE
A cushion apparatus for attachment to a rigid structure having an edge includes an elongated structure and a securing mechanism. The elongated structure is formed of a soft material and has a channel/slot/groove along its length that is configured to receive a portion of the rigid structure that includes the edge. The securing mechanism is configured to secure the elongated structure to the rigid structure. The securing mechanism may be integrated with the elongated structure and configured to removably secure the elongated structure to the rigid structure.
Vehicle external device attachment system
A vehicle external device attachment system that allows users to attach devices such as heaters or fans to their uncovered vehicles. An example of such a vehicle is a golf cart. The height of the attached device is adjustable via an adaptor ring. The vehicle external device attachment system provides stability to the external devices unprecedented in existing systems.
VEHICLE ELECTRIC FLUID MACHINE
A vehicle electric fluid machine includes: a housing provided with a mounting leg; a fastener having a shaft portion and a head portion at one end of the shaft portion, the fastener fastening the other end of the shaft portion to a mounting object; a sleeve disposed between the mounting leg and the shaft portion; elastic vibration dampers each having a cylindrical portion and a collar extending from one of opposite ends of the cylindrical portion in its radial outward direction; and an annular plate through which a fastening force is applied to the mounting leg. The annular plate has an elongated protrusion protruding toward the mounting leg, the elongated protrusion spaced from the collar with a predetermined clearance formed radially outside the collar. A deformation limit of the collar is defined by the elongated protrusion being in contact with the collar.
Apparatuses For Mounting Camera Arrangements On Motor Vehicles
An apparatus for mounting a camera arrangement on a motor vehicle is provided. The apparatus has a camera housing that includes a main body configured for holding the camera arrangement in a predetermined position. A 3-attachment feature arrangement is coupled to the main body for mounting the main body to the motor vehicle. The 3-attachment feature arrangement includes a first attachment feature having a first longitudinal centerline. A second attachment feature has a second longitudinal centerline. A third attachment feature has a third longitudinal centerline. The second and third longitudinal centerlines are aligned to define a common centerline and the first longitudinal centerline intersects the common centerline proximate a midpoint between the second attachment feature and the third attachment feature.
Holder device
A holder device for a rear-view and/or display device of a motor vehicle having at least one holder plate fixed to a panel or plate-like object, and having at least one securing foot, which is or can be detachably arranged on the holder plate wherein by at least one retaining means fixed to the securing foot or at least partially surrounding the securing foot, which is or can be fixed to a vehicle component spaced apart from the holder plate, which limits a movement of the securing foot in a state in which it is at least partially detached from the holder plate in form fitting and/or force-locking manner.
