System for monitoring an area adjacent a vehicle
A backup camera system for monitoring an area around a vehicle. In one aspect, the system comprises a camera assembly, a display device and a stand for supporting the display device; the camera assembly comprising: (i) a camera adapted to produce an image signal corresponding to a perceived image, (ii) means for supplying power; (iii) a base having first and second holes that are configured and spaced from one another so as to facilitate attachment to the vehicle using the vehicle's license plate mounting bolts, (iv) a transmitter operably coupled to the camera for wirelessly transmitting the image signal; and the display device comprising: (i) a receiver for receiving the wirelessly transmitted image signal, (ii) means for supplying power, (iii) an image processing unit operably coupled to the receiver for converting the received image signal into a display image that is displayed on the display device, the display image corresponding to the perceived image. The backup camera system can form a retrofit kit.
DISPLAY APPARATUS
A display apparatus includes a display panel; and a rear cover coupled to a rear face of the display panel to support the display panel, the rear cover includes a protrusion protruding from the rear cover and including a fastening hole defined therein and fastened with coupling means, and the length of the fastening hole in a first direction is greater than a length of the fastening hole in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. In the display apparatus, the protrusion moves in response to an external force, so that the display apparatus having the protrusion can effectively absorb the external impact to suppress damage to the display apparatus.
Display Apparatus for Vehicle
An embodiment display apparatus for a vehicle includes a display unit designed to be accommodated inside an interior trim of the vehicle and configured to output outside image information captured by a camera and a moving unit configured to allow the display unit to be selectively pulled out from the interior trim and to allow the display unit to rotate in opposite directions in a state in which the display unit is pulled out.
Thermal Radiation Vehicle Night Vision System
A night vision system including a thermal radiation night vision device for removably mounting to an exterior of a vehicle. The night vision device is to detect thermal radiation for objects present around the vehicle and to create a video with the detected objects. The created video may be communicated to a display device located within an interior region of the vehicle for displaying the video stream to a user driving the vehicle. The system may include a connector having a standard interface to easily and securely connect to a mounting device that is designed to mount to a roof, a light bar, a fender, a grill or a bumper of the vehicle. The mounting device may be configured to replace a portion of a frame of a spotlight mounted to the vehicle in order to secure the thermal radiation night vision device to the spotlight.

Systems and methods for providing solar-generated power to a display unit mounted to a vehicle are provided. One or more mounting supports connect a housing for an electronic display to the vehicle. A solar energy harvesting device is secured to an upper portion of the vehicle and is electrically connected to the electronic display.

A three-dimensional kinetic shape display for a vehicle includes one or more pixels for conveying information related to operation of the vehicle. The one or more pixels each include a plurality of moveable members that each have an actuation element for translating the moveable member. The three-dimensional kinetic shape display also includes one or more controllers providing instructions to move the actuation element. The one or more controllers execute instructions to receive data indicating an event related to operation of the vehicle, and in response to receiving data indicating the event, instruct the actuation element to translate the moveable member in a direction that is indicative of the event related to operation of the vehicle.

A first object approaching a vehicle in a first direction and a second object approaching the vehicle in a second direction are detected.
