Vehicle body structure of automobile
A sun shade apparatus is provided. Each of a pair of right and left roof side rails is constituted of upper and lower members which are joined to each other. A dimension in an up-down direction can be reduced while a closed cross-sectional area required for the roof side rail is ensured to maintain a strength and a rigidity thereof, and a height of a vehicle cabin can be ensured by compactly disposing a sun shade apparatus under a lower surface of a roof panel while enhancing side collision resisting performance by restricting bending of the roof side rails in cooperation with a cross member when a collision load of a side collision is input. Due to roof side garnishes covering outer end portions of the roof panel and upper surfaces of the roof side rails, the rigidity and the strength of the roof side rails can be further enhanced.
VEHICLE AND ROOF CONSTRUCTION INCLUDING A DISPLAY DEVICE FOR USE THEREIN
A vehicle includes a roof construction comprising at least one semi-transparent panel fitted in an opening in the fixed roof of the vehicle. The panel is connected to a stationary frame. A headliner on the interior side of the fixed roof is provided for hiding the fixed roof and stationary frame from view. At least one display device is capable of showing images from its display screen to occupants in the vehicle. A drive system is provided for moving the display screen at least into a storage position and into an operational position in which the display screen is visible for occupants in an interior space of the vehicle. The display screen, in its storage position, is moved into a cavity above the headliner and is thus hidden from view and protected by the headliner.
Method for treating terminal portion of interior part for vehicle
According to a method of the present invention for treating a terminal portion of an interior part for a vehicle, the terminal portion is stably maintained in a folded state by being welded firmly and deformation is constrained. In a heating step, in a state where distal end edges of heat shield panels 30A and 30B are abutted against a boundary between a terminal portion 4 and an adjacent portion 5 of a peripheral edge portion 3 of an opening of a roof trim 1 for a sunroof, hot-air is provided toward a back surface of the terminal portion 4 from hot-air nozzles 40A and 40B, thereby softening the terminal portion 4 and melting the back surface of the terminal portion 4. In a folding-back step, the terminal portion 4 is folded back by pressing members 50A and 50B at the distal end edges of the heat shield panels 30A and 30B and then pressed against the adjacent portion 5, thereby welding the back surface of the terminal portion 4 to a back surface of the adjacent portion 5. A ventilation opening 32a is formed in the heat shield panel 30A disposed at a corner portion. In the heating step, a portion of the hot-air from the hot-air nozzle 40A is guided to the adjacent portion 5 through the ventilation opening 32a to heat the adjacent portion 5.
AIRBAG DEVICE FOR PANORAMA ROOF
An airbag device for a panorama roof including: a panorama roof; a blind disposed under the panorama roof, and configured to open/close the panorama roof; and a roof airbag embedded in a head liner, and deployed under the blind so as to cover the panorama roof
MAGNET OVERMOLDING FOR MOUNTING OF A DECORATIVE FEATURE
A system of securing a connection of a decorative feature to a magnetic surface is provided. The system includes (a) a decorative feature attached to a substrate; (b) a magnet configured to be positioned within the substrate; and (c) two or more attachment arms extending away from the substrate and overmolding the magnet. The magnet is configured to magnetically secure the decorative feature to a magnetic attachment surface. In an example the substrate is a panoramic ring of a vehicle and the decorative feature is a headliner. The magnet is provided in a magnet bowl that includes an engagement feature to assist in overmolding. An attachment clip is also provided having two or more attachment arms with a magnet assembly overmolded to the clip. A pressure fit clip is provided having two or more attachment arms with a magnet assembly overmolded to the clip.
Vehicles Including Shaped Reinforcement Brackets for a Headliner
A method of forming a headliner for a vehicle includes forming the headliner into a desired shape from one or more materials. The headliner includes a headliner cutout portion corresponding to an opening through the headliner. A reinforcement bracket preform is formed into the headliner cutout portion during the step of forming the headliner. The headliner cutout portion is removed from the headliner. The reinforcement bracket preform is removed from the headliner cutout portion and a shaped reinforcement bracket is formed.
Vehicle roof assembly
A vehicle roof assembly for covering at least a part of a passenger compartment of a vehicle comprises a mounting frame and a panel device. The panel device comprises a cover panel and a mounting bracket comprising a mounting flange. The mounting frame comprises a first flange and a second flange under an angle. The second flange comprises a mechanical coupler for attaching the mounting flange. The first flange is configured to be extending towards the passenger compartment. The mounting flange is attached to the second flange at the mechanical coupler. In a mounted state, at least a part of the first flange is arranged closer to the cover panel than the mechanical coupler such that head space is preserved.
Headliner for a vehicle
A headliner for a vehicle includes a substrate that attaches to, and covers a roof panel, the substrate defining a groove on a first side formed around an entirety of a periphery of an area of the roof panel, wherein the groove is continuous around the periphery. A light emitting material is disposed within the groove formed in the substrate and is uninterrupted around the periphery within the groove.
Ceiling material for vehicle
A ceiling material for a vehicle includes a ceiling interior material facing a vehicle cabin inner surface of a roof panel for a vehicle, and a reinforcement member arranged on an upper surface of the ceiling interior material on the side of the roof panel. The reinforcement member may include a rod-like member and supporting members for respectively supporting at least two sections in a slidable manner in a longitudinal direction of the rod-like member. Each of the supporting members includes a fitting portion which allows the rod-like member to be fitted from a radial direction.
