Interior trim of a motor vehicle

An interior trim covers sections of door cutouts (1a, 1b) of a motor vehicle body facing a floor. The interior trim has a first trim panel (2a) for covering a section (3a) of the first door cutout (1a) facing the vehicle floor, a second trim panel (2b) for covering a section (3b) of the second door cutout (1b) facing the vehicle floor (31), and a third trim panel (8) that extends in the direction of the B pillar between the door cutouts (1a, 1b). The trim panels (2a, 2b, 8) compensate for tolerances during assembly of the interior trim so that the first and second trim panels (2a, 2b) can be shifted relative to each other in the longitudinal direction, and the third trim panel (8) and the first and second trim panels (2a, 2b) can be shifted relative to each other in the vertical direction.

Upper interior structure of vehicle

In an upper interior structure of a vehicle of the present invention, a deployment guide portion for guiding a curtain airbag toward a cabin side when the curtain airbag is deployed. The deployment guide portion comprises a first guide part and a second guide part. The first guide part is arranged above a top ceiling and on an outward side, in a vehicle width direction, of the curtain airbag, facing an upper end portion of a pillar trim, so as to restrain the curtain airbag from being deployed outwardly in the vehicle width direction. The second guide part is arranged between the first guide part and the top ceiling, extending in a vertical direction, so as to restrain the curtain airbag from being deployed into a gap between the first guide part and the upper end portion of the pillar trim.

Front pillar structure

A front pillar structure is provided with a pillar frame component that forms part of a front pillar, and with a pillar garnish that forms part of the front pillar, and that has a surface covering portion that extends substantially in the vehicle vertical direction and covers the pillar frame component from the vehicle cabin inner side, and an elastic body that is joined to a wall surface facing the pillar frame component of the surface covering portion, and that firmly grips inside itself the vehicle cabin inner-side flange portions of the first component and the second component.

An automotive interior component with an airbag door includes: a core member covering a front pillar and including a hinge part; and a surface member stretched so as to cover a front surface of the core member. The airbag door is a site of the core member partitioned by the hinge part which site is capable of abutting on an airbag. The surface member includes a fold part extending to an outer edge side of a rear surface of the core member so as to cover an edge part connecting between the front surface and the rear surface of the core member. The fold part includes a first fold part not crossing the hinge part and positioned on the airbag door side, and a second fold part bent from the first fold part and crossing the hinge part. The first and second fold parts are stitched with a thread.

Vehicle pillar structure

A vehicle pillar structure is provided including a pillar frame that configures framework of a pillar and that includes a flange portion configuring an attachment counterpart for a weather strip at a vehicle front-rear direction rear end portion of the pillar frame, a garnish that is attached to a vehicle width direction inner side of the pillar frame and that configures a styling face of a vehicle cabin interior, and plural ribs that are integrally formed to a face of the garnish on the pillar frame side, that are supported by the flange portion through the weather strip, and that are arrayed in a pillar length direction.

GLASS FOR AUTONOMOUS CAR

The invention concerns a trim element for a motor vehicle comprising at least one glass sheet having an absorption coefficient comprised between 5 m and 15 m in the wavelength range from 750 to 1650 nm and having an external and an internal faces. According to the present invention, an infrared-based remote sensing device in the wavelength range from 750 to 1650 nm, is placed behind the internal face of the glass sheet.
