BIRD FEEDER
20230354783 · 2023-11-09 · ·

The present disclosure provides a bird feeder moveable from a first position to a second position. The bird feeder is preferably comprised of a seed tube for holding a substance, a seed tray having openings to receive and provide access to the substance, a shroud surrounding and protecting both the seed tube and seed tray and a cover secured to an upper end of the shroud. The bird feeder is also preferably comprised of a positioning mechanism to move the bird feeder from the first position, where access to the substance is provided, and the second position, where access to the substance is prevented.

Laser enrichment device, system, and method for poultry

An apparatus, systems, and methods of providing enrichment to poultry during raising or maintaining of the poultry. One or more light sources project beams to generate laser spots at and around the poultry. A control regimen moves the light spots relative the poultry in generally random fashion during timed sessions for each given time period (e.g. each day). The spot movement is designed to promote benefits to poultry and producer in correlation to experimental data related to animal welfare, health, and commercial value.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FEED MIXTURE PREPARATION
20220256815 · 2022-08-18 ·

The present disclosure concerns a system and a method for the preparation of adaptive batch of feed mixture for an animal habitat. The system includes a mixing unit that is linked to storage containers, each storage container stores a different type of feed component that is suitable for different state of the animal. A controller of the system receives data indicative of the state of the animals in the habitat and facilitates a flow of desired amounts of each feed and/or supplements or immune additives into the mixing unit, based on data that is corresponding to the state of the animals. The feed components are mixed in the mixing unit to obtain a desired feed mixture and the mixing unit is configured to convey the feed mixture to a feeding line that further conveys the feed mixture to feeding ports, within the habitat.

Bird Feeder With Elastomeric Feed Port

An elastomeric feed port and a bird feeder having a seed reservoir with a seed opening fitted with such an elastomeric feed port is provided. The feed port has an elastomeric seed control membrane with a cutout that forms at least one aperture through which birds can access seed in the reservoir. The cutout is shaped to create flexible flaps or fingers adjacent the aperture in the membrane that partially cover the seed opening to reduce seed spillage but that can be pushed aside or temporarily deformed by a bird when the bird inserts its beak into the cutout aperture to access seed therethrough.

Feeder for poultry with two-way rotation
11439130 · 2022-09-13 ·

A poultry feeder with double directional of rotation is provided that balances the weight of the feeders in the feeding tube, reduces colocation time and rework. The poultry feeder with double directional of rotation can be placed in a resting or washing position in both directions without interfering with the anti-perching cable and can be completely internally washed without being disassembled. The hopper and the plate are rigidly coupled and do not uncouple during pressure washing and the central cone of the plate has elevations at the ends to allow a better distribution of the food. The curved tongue prevents the accumulation of food by leaving a minimum space between it and the tube.

Critter-proof bird feeder apparatus
11432535 · 2022-09-06 ·

A critter-proof bird feed apparatus includes a critter deterrent barrier/deflector assembly that attaches to the top of a bird feeder and prevents critters from accessing the bird feeder when the combined apparatus is hung up. The critter deterrent barrier/deflector assembly includes a connecting cable having a first end attached to the bird feeder and a second end for attaching to a pole, bracket, or other support structure above. The critter deterrent barrier/deflector assembly includes a deflector plate that extends in a lateral/horizontal direction. The deflector plate has a larger width than the bird feeder and block a view of the bird feeder from above the deflector plate. The critter deterrent barrier/deflector assembly includes a plurality of inverted, overlapping cones extending above the deflector plate, and preventing a critter from gripping onto the cones.
