BUMPER REINFORCEMENT
20210245688 · 2021-08-12 ·

A bumper reinforcement includes a bumper reinforcement body, a first extension portion, a second extension portion, and a weakened portion. The bumper reinforcement body is molded from a synthetic resin material, a length of the bumper reinforcement body extends in a vehicle width direction. The first extension portion is integrally molded with the bumper reinforcement body so as to extend from the bumper reinforcement body toward a vehicle rear side and oppose a vehicle structural member extending in the vehicle width direction from a vehicle front side. The first extension portion is provided within a range spanning from a vehicle width direction side end portion to a position at 40% of an overall vehicle width direction length of a vehicle front end section away from the vehicle width direction side end portion. The second extension portion is integrally molded with the bumper reinforcement body.

Structure of vehicle

A structure of the vehicle includes a rear side member, a crush box and a bumper reinforcement. The rear side member is arranged outside in a width direction of the vehicle and is extended with a length direction of the rear side member coinciding with a longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The crush box plastically deforms through compression of the vehicle. The bumper reinforcement is provided with a hat-shaped open cross-section where a recess portion recessed outward with respect to the vehicle is provided in an inner surface of the bumper reinforcement in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. A width of an open-end portion of the recess portion in a vertical direction of the vehicle is set larger than a width of the rear side member and a size of the crush box in the vertical direction of the vehicle.

A vehicle bumper structure to be applied to a vehicle includes an impact absorber to be disposed on a front end side or a rear end side of the vehicle so as to extends in a vehicle width direction. The impact absorber includes small reaction section and a large reaction section. The small reaction section is to be disposed on an outer end side in the vehicle width direction. The small reaction section is configured to generate a predetermined reaction against a colliding object. The large reaction section is to be disposed on an inner side of the small reaction section in the vehicle width direction. The large reaction section is adjacent to the small reaction section. The large reaction section is configured to generate a larger reaction against the colliding object than the predetermined reaction.

VEHICLE FRONT STRUCTURE

An increased amount of absorption of a load from the diagonally upper front side is achieved even in, for example, a vehicle having a high vehicle height. A first shock absorbing member is provided inside a bumper face upper to absorb a load from the diagonally upper front side, a second shock absorbing member is mounted on a front face portion of a bumper beam, and a third shock absorbing member is disposed below the first shock absorbing member and between a bumper face and the bumper beam to absorb a load from the diagonally upper front side. The rigidity of the first and third shock absorbing members in the up-down direction is higher than rigidity of the second shock absorbing member in the front-rear direction.

VEHICLE FRONT STRUCTURE

A vehicle front structure that reduces a shock load applied to immediately under a front grille by using a bumper beam as a support. A vehicle front structure includes a shock absorbing member at an interior of a bumper face on the side near an upper portion thereof which absorbs a load from the diagonally upper front side. The shock absorbing member is at the interior of the bumper face below a front grille, and includes a load receiving portion that receives a load, a locking portion locked to an upper end edge of a bumper beam located behind and below the load receiving portion, at the time of receding of the shock absorbing member, and a connecting portion connecting the load receiving portion and the locking portion. A deformation facilitating portion with respect to a load from the upper front side is thus configured at the connecting portion.

VEHICLE FRONT STRUCTURE

A vehicle front structure that absorbs a shock load applied to immediately under a front grille by using a structure at a position higher than a bumper beam as a support. The vehicle front structure includes a shock absorbing member at an interior of a bumper face below a front grille. The shock absorbing member includes a load receiving portion that receives a load, an abutting portion abutting against a structure above a bumper beam during receding of the shock absorbing member, an upper-side connecting portion connecting the load receiving portion and the abutting portion, a locking portion deformed while being locked to the bumper beam during receding of the shock absorbing member, and a lower-side connecting portion connecting the load receiving and locking portions. A bending facilitating portion extending in the vehicle width direction is formed on the side of a rear portion of the upper-side connecting portion.

VEHICLE REINFORCEMENT ASSEMBLY

A vehicle reinforcement assembly includes a detector and a reinforcement member. The detector is configured to be housed in an interior compartment of a vehicle. The reinforcement member is configured to be housed in the interior compartment at a location adjacent to the detector. The reinforcement member has a vehicle forward facing end that extends closer to a vehicle front end than the detector extends to the vehicle front end.

PEDESTRIAN COLLISION SENSING DEVICE

A pedestrian collision sensing device may include: a bumper skin having one or more pressure sensor installation parts formed thereon; a bumper absorber disposed at a rear of the bumper skin, and having an installation groove part formed therein; a pressure transfer tube extended in a lateral direction along the installation groove part; a tube mounting member configured to cover a circumference of the pressure transfer tube, and inserted and installed into the installation groove part; and one or more pressure sensors each connected to an end of the pressure transfer tube and coupled to the pressure sensor installation part.

Bumper Crossmember And Vehicle Provided Therewith

A bumper crossmember having a profiled carrier profile, which extends with its longitudinal direction in the vehicle transverse direction (y direction) and has portions with a U-shaped profile in the z direction at least on the end sides formed by two limbs and a profile base connecting the two limbs, and a widening element profiled in the z direction, connected to each end side of the carrier profile, via which the carrier profile is extended in the longitudinal direction. Each widening element has a connecting portion, which has a U-shaped profile with a contact portion and a mating portion adjoining the contact portion, and an extension portion adjoining the mating portion. The connecting portion has a profile base connecting two limbs of the U-shaped profiling, engages with one of the two U-shaped portions of the carrier profile, and is arranged overlapping the latter in the y direction. At least in the region of its contact portion, the connecting portion is connected to the profile base of the carrier profile, and in the region of its mating portion, the connecting portion makes contact at least in regions by way of its limbs with the limbs of the carrier profile.

Skeleton structure of vehicle front part

A skeleton structure of a front part of a vehicle has a reinforcement member that has a higher rigidity than a bumper reinforcement and that is housed in an end, in a width direction of the vehicle, of the bumper reinforcement. With this structure, passing-through of the vehicle from a barrier during a small overlap collision is suppressed, and an amount of absorption of collision energy by the skeleton member can be increased.
