REAR PORTION STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE
To provide a vehicle rear portion structure including a rear bumper cover disposed at the back of a vehicle, and a rear undercover. The rear undercover covers the lower surface of the body. The rear end portion of the rear undercover is connected to the lower end portion of the rear bumper cover. The rear undercover has a through hole formed on its rear portion. The rear bumper cover includes a protrusion protruding further downward of the vehicle than does the rear undercover, and an inclined portion connecting the rear edge portion of the through hole of the rear undercover and the protrusion.
Loose layered build components and vehicle front end assembly strategy
A headlight assembly for assembly adjacent at least one skin component of a vehicle includes a housing supporting at least one light and a lens attached to the housing. The lens includes at least one attribute for engaging the at least one skin component. The attribute may be a pin or an aperture formed in the lens which may extend a distance from a surface of the lens for guiding the skin component. The skin component may be a grille and the attribute may restrict movement of the headlight assembly relative the grille in a Y-axis direction forming a margin therebetween. The attribute may be a channel including a bracket for guiding the skin component, for instance, a facia into the channel. The attribute may be a cavity formed in the lens for receiving an overlapping portion of the skin component, for example, a grille.
Bumper assembly and a bumper system at a front of a truck
The present application provides a bumper assembly to be connected to a chassis bumper beam at a front of a vehicle. The bumper assembly comprises a plastic fascia; a metal reinforcement member; and a plastic reinforcement member disposed between the plastic fascia and the metal reinforcement member and connected with the plastic fascia and the metal reinforcement member. The plastic fascia, the plastic reinforcement member and the metal reinforcement member extend at a lateral direction of the vehicle.
BUMPER DEVICE FOR AN AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE
An automotive vehicle includes a vehicle body, a bumper beam coupled to the vehicle body, and a fascia coupled to the vehicle body and extending about the bumper beam. The vehicle further includes an expansion member coupled to the bumper beam and disposed between the bumper beam and the fascia. The expansion member has an initial position with respect to the bumper beam and a deployed position with respect to the bumper beam. In the initial position the expansion member presents a first frontal height and in the deployed position the expansion member presents a second frontal height. The second frontal height exceeds the first frontal height and a bumper beam height. The expansion member is configured to deploy from the initial position to the deployed position in response to contact by the fascia.
Vehicle fascia RADAR structures and assemblies
RADAR assemblies and related structures for vehicles. In some embodiments, a RADAR assembly may be provided comprising a RADAR module, a bracket coupled with the RADAR module, and a conformal layer comprising a surface configured to conform with and be positioned adjacent to a surface of a portion of vehicle fascia. The conformal layer may be configured to decrease the reflectivity of electromagnetic radiation from the RADAR module relative to the vehicle fascia. The RADAR assembly may be configured to be coupled with the vehicle fascia such that the conformal layer is spaced apart from the vehicle fascia to define an air gap between the conformal layer and the vehicle fascia, and the air gap may be configured to further decrease the reflectivity of electromagnetic radiation from the RADAR module relative to the vehicle fascia.
Front bumper arrangement support structure for a vehicle
A front bumper arrangement support structure for a motor vehicle includes a crossmember having a front end region that extends substantially transversely to the vehicle longitudinal direction, a fastening plate located to the rear of the crossmember and at least one deformation element that extends between the front end region of the crossmember and the fastening plate. Here, an integrated bumper element is provided. The bumper element extends in an arcuate manner between the front end region of the crossmember and the fastening plate and protrudes to the front or forward relative to the crossmember. The integrated bumper element, the deformation element and the fastening plate form an approximately triangular structure.
Vehicle front structure
A bumper member at a vehicle frontmost end is joined to side members. The bumper member has a curved shape, a center portion protrudes further to the vehicle front than a tip end portion of the side member, a projecting portion is positioned on the outer side of the tip end portion, and is curved toward the vehicle rear, a protruding part extending toward the side member is provided on an inner side of the projecting portion, a tip end portion on the inner side of the protruding part has a planar portion opposite a side face portion on the outer side of the side member, a protrusion protruding to the inner side from the planar portion and extending in the longitudinal direction is provided in the planar portion, and a slit-shaped opening into which a tip end of the protrusion is inserted is provided in the side face portion.
POLYPROPYLENE COMPOSITION
The invention relates to a front end panel assembly (100) for an electric vehicle (300), the assembly comprising: -an at least partially optically transparent laminate sheet (108) having side edges, comprising an optically transparent thermoplastic substrate and at least one protective layer; -a spacing structure (112) comprising a base (110) and a peripheral upstanding wall (120) extending from the base, wherein the upstanding wall connects to the laminate at or near at least part of the side edges of the laminate, such that a space (122) is formed and enclosed between the laminate sheet and the spacing structure, and wherein the at least one protective layer of the laminate faces away from the spacing structure.
Loose layered build components and vehicle front end assembly strategy
A subassembly for a vehicle front end includes a grille, a housing supporting at least one light, and a lens attached to said housing. The lens has at least one attribute for engaging said grille. The grille may include at least one extension and the at least one attribute has a shape corresponding with the extension. The at least one attribute may further restrict movement of said lens relative said grille in a Y-axis direction. This ensures consistent margins or gap widths therebetween. The at least one attribute may include an aperture, or a cavity formed in said lens for receiving the extension. The at least one extension may include an overlapping portion of said grille, and the at least one extension may be a loop overlapping at least a portion of said lens.
Automotive vehicle bumper assembly
A bumper assembly is provided having a flange that overlies the body of the vehicle. The flange may be a body flange extending from an elongate bumper beam or a cladding flange extending from an external cladding that covers at least a portion of the bumper beam. The flange may protect the body from wear or corrosion, and/or bridge a gap between the frame and the body of the vehicle. The assembly may also include a contact structure for contacting at least a portion of the vehicle frame, such as the hitch beam. The contact structure may resist rotation of the bumper assembly, prevent vibration of the bumper assembly against the frame, and/or support a vertical load on the bumper. In some embodiments, the assembly may be primarily mounted to the body of the vehicle, such that the bumper beam hangs from the body of the vehicle.
