Airbag apparatus
12151630 · 2024-11-26 · ·

An airbag apparatus to be applied to a vehicle includes an airbag, a collision determiner, an airbag deployment controller, and a pulling device. The airbag is configured to be deployed forward of a vehicle body front of the vehicle. The collision determiner is configured to establish a pre-crash determination in a case where a collision probability is equal to or higher than a predetermined threshold. The airbag deployment controller is configured to give to an inflator a command to supply deployment gas to the airbag and deploy the airbag, in response to the pre-crash determination. The pulling device is configured to pull, rearward of the vehicle, a collision portion with which a collision object is to collide or vicinity of the collision portion on a front surface of the airbag so as to form a recessed portion configured to restrain the collision object.

COLLISION SENSING APPARATUS

An apparatus includes a center component defining a center chamber therein and first and second side components defining first and second chambers therein, respectively. The first and second side components are coupled to opposing ends of the center component with the first and second chambers in fluid communication with the center chamber. The center, first side and second side components are configured to extend substantially across a width of a vehicle. The apparatus further includes first, second and third pressure sensors in communication with the first, second and center chambers, respectively.

Bumper-mounted inflatable device

A bumper assembly of a vehicle includes a vehicle bumper and a first inflatable device supported by the bumper. The first inflatable device is deployable downwardly from the bumper from an undeployed position to a deployed position. A second inflatable device is supported by the bumper and spaced cross-vehicle from the first inflatable device. The second inflatable device is deployable downwardly from the bumper from an undeployed position to a deployed position. An uninflatable panel is below the bumper 12 and extends from the first inflatable device to the second inflatable device in the deployed position.

VEHICLE WITH BUMPER AND CRUSH CAN

A vehicle includes a vehicle frame, a vehicle bumper and a crush can to support the vehicle bumper on the vehicle frame. The crush can may include an inflation chamber, which is inflatable from an uninflated state to an inflated state. The vehicle can also include an inflator in fluid communication with the inflation chamber of the crush can.

AIRBAGS INFLATABLE VEHICLE FORWARD OF BUMPER

A vehicle includes a vehicle bumper and a plurality of airbag assemblies each fixed directly to the vehicle bumper. Each airbag assembly includes an airbag inflatable below the vehicle bumper and upwardly vehicle-forward of the vehicle bumper from an uninflated position to an inflated position. The airbag assemblies are spaced from each other when the airbags are in the uninflated position. An external tether is fixed to two of the airbags and extends along the vehicle bumper from one of the two airbags to the other of the two airbags when the airbags are in the uninflated position.

Vehicle body anti-collision structure

A vehicle body anti-collision structure, which is mounted within a vehicle body covering and used for buffering an impact force applied to a vehicle body, the structure having two buffering frames capable of buffering the applied impact force and a connecting frame, wherein the connecting frame is disposed at the bottom end of the vehicle body and fixed to a chassis of the vehicle body, and the two buffering frames are respectively disposed at the front end and rear end of the vehicle body and are fixed to both ends of the connecting frame. The above-mentioned vehicle body anti-collision structure is of an overall structure, such that when the buffering frames at the front and rear of the vehicle body are impacted, the impact force will be dispersed to the whole vehicle body anti-collision structure and the chassis, instead of being completely withstood by themselves, so that a greater impact force can be withstood, improving the safety of the vehicle body.

A pneumatic fender and a mouth piece metal for a pneumatic fender with an open/close valve fixed at a position in which a through hole formed in a dividing wall constituting a receiving chamber, where the valve is closed by closed position fixing members. A safety valve is isolated from a cavity of a fender bladder by a receiving chamber, the safety valve being able to be detached and attached while the pneumatic fender is in use. A confirmation test of a valve opening pressure of the safety valve is performed by opening a receiving chamber open/close valve and raising an internal pressure of a cavity of the receiving chamber to a pressure threshold via a receiving chamber communication passage. The open/close valve is fixed at a position in which the through hole is open by open position fixing member.
