VEHICLE BODY FRONT STRUCTURE
A vehicle body front structure of a vehicle is provided. The vehicle is equipped with a bumper beam disposed on a front side of a vehicle body and extending in a vehicle width direction. The bumper beam is fixed at its lateral end portions in the vehicle width direction to the vehicle body. A guide member is disposed on each lateral end portion of the bumper beam to cover a laterally outer end surface of the bumper beam in the vehicle width direction. The guide member has a deformation allowance caused to extend in a collision in accordance with a displacement of the bumper beam.
VEHICLE HAVING LOAD TRANSFER ASSEMBLY
A vehicle includes a vehicle frame, a vehicle bumper and a load transfer assembly. The vehicle bumper is coupled to a front end of the vehicle frame and includes a center beam and a bumper beam extension that extends laterally from an end of the center beam. The load transfer assembly includes first and second pivot pins and a load beam. The first pivot pin is fixed to the bumper beam extension and the second pivot pin is fixed to the vehicle frame. The load beam has a first end pivotably coupled to the first pivot pin and a second end pivotably coupled to the second pivot pin. The load beam is configured to load the vehicle frame in a lateral direction upon a vehicle impact event.
VEHICLE FRONT STRUCTURE
A vehicle front structure includes: a front side-frame extending in a vehicle front-rear direction; and a lower member extending in the vehicle front-rear direction at a position outer in a vehicle width direction than the front side-frame, wherein a front end of the front side-frame and a front end of the lower member are coupled with each other, an outer end in the vehicle width direction of the front side-frame is inclined so as to be positioned outer in the vehicle width direction toward a front of a vehicle, and an inner end in the vehicle width direction of the lower member extends in the vehicle front-rear direction, without being inclined inward in the vehicle width direction toward the front of the vehicle.
Connection device for connecting a vehicle crash absorbing member to a vehicle body component
The proposed connection device includes attachment portions that are separated from each other such that the one of the crash absorbing member and the vehicle body component is insertable between the attachment portions. This allows for a transverse slidable motion of the one of the crash absorbing member and the vehicle body component with respect to the main body. Thus, the crash absorbing member or the vehicle body component, whichever is going to be attached to the attachment portions, is slidable in transverse direction, i.e. substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of e.g. the crash absorbing member.
Vehicle deflector assembly and load absorbing method
A vehicle frame assembly includes, among other things, a lower main rail of a vehicle, a deflector assembly that is disposed adjacent a forward end portion of the lower main rail, and a positioning bracket of the deflector assembly. The positioning bracket is secured directly to the lower main rail and configured to separate from the lower main rail if a load that exceeds a threshold load is applied to a front of the vehicle.
Hybrid bumper assembly for a vehicle
A hybrid bumper assembly for a vehicle includes a steel reinforcement beam and aluminum crush cans attached to end portions of the steel reinforcement beam. The reinforcement beam has a multi-tubular shape that is formed by a high-strength steel sheet that is roll formed to provide at least two tubular portions. A crush can has an interfacing portion that is coupled to an end portion of the reinforcement beam. The end portions of the reinforcement beam and the interfacing portion of the crush cans may be configured to attach together using a select joining technology in a manner that minimizes or eliminates bimetallic or galvanic corrosion between the reinforcement beam and the crush cans.
VEHICLE BODY FRONT STRUCTURE
A vehicle body front structure includes: front side frames in a pair; a cross member; a bumper beam, a reinforce having one end coupled to a bent portion of the bumper beam and another end extending to a joint where one of the front side frames and the cross member are coupled to each other; and truss chassis members. Each truss chassis member includes, as vertices: a first pinned support pivotally fixed in the cross member; a second pinned support movable and rotatable, and disposed in the joint between the corresponding front side frame and the cross member; and a third pinned support movable and rotatable, and disposed in the corresponding front side frame and closer to a rear of the vehicle than the second pinned support. The reinforce is secured to the front side frame and the cross member via the truss chassis member.
Vehicle
A vehicle may include: an external fender covering a front fender panel; a bumper; and a retainer fixing the external fender and the bumper to the front fender panel, in which the external fender includes an external fender end, the bumper includes a bumper end, and the external fender end and the bumper end are disposed in vicinity to and face each other, the retainer is disposed near a boundary between the external fender end and the bumper end, the retainer is covered by the external fender and the bumper, the external fender end includes an external fender flange protruding inward of the vehicle, the bumper end includes a bumper flange protruding inward of the vehicle, the retainer includes a groove extending along the boundary between the external fender end and the bumper end, and the external fender flange and the bumper flange are inserted in the groove.
Vehicle body lower structure of vehicle
It is intended to provide a vehicle body lower structure capable of preventing a backflow component from flowing outside the vehicle from a rear wheel housing at the shortest distance. The vehicle body lower structure of a vehicle comprising a rear wheel housing 12, and a mud guard 71 integrally attached to an inner surface of a rear portion of the rear wheel housing 12, wherein the mud guard 71 has a plate-shaped shielding portion 71b extending from a vehicle width directional inner side of a rear edge of the rear wheel housing 12 toward a front side of the vehicle, and wherein the shielding portion 71b has an up-down directional length extending from a bottom portion of the mud guard 71 to a position above at least a tail pipe 33 whose outlet portion 33a is oriented toward a rear surface of a vehicle body adjacent thereto.
BUMPER ATTACHMENT DEVICE
A bumper attachment device for attaching a bumper face to a vehicle body includes a main portion, a vehicle body connection portion provided at the main portion and adapted to be connected to the vehicle body, and an elastic claw provided at the main portion and adapted to engage an engaging hole formed at the bumper face. The elastic claw extends from the main portion, and includes a beam having elasticity and a claw portion projecting from a tip portion of the beam to a side portion. The claw portion includes a check surface engaging a hole wall of the engagement hole, and the check surface has a dent and projection shape.
