PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG AND AIRBAG APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME
A passenger-side airbag includes a first side panel, a second side panel opposite the first side panel, a first center panel having a first side edge part toward the first side panel, a second side edge part opposite the first side edge part, and a first front face situated between the first side edge part and the second side edge part to face an occupant, and a second center panel having a third side edge part toward the second side panel, a fourth side edge part opposite the third side edge part, and a second front face situated between the third side edge part and the fourth side edge part to face an occupant, wherein the second side edge part has a flange projecting in an opposite direction from the first side edge part, and the flange is bonded to the fourth side edge part such that the second front face bulges relative to the first front face.
OCCUPANT PROTECTING DEVICE
An occupant protecting device including: a seat provided in a vehicle, the seat including a seat cushion, a seat back, and a headrest, and the seat being provided with an air bag that inflates and deploys at least to a front and both of left and right sides of a head of a seated occupant; and a control device that in the case of having detected or predicted a collision of the vehicle, causes the air bag to inflate and deploy, and in the case that the seat is facing an opposite side to a collision side when the collision has been detected or predicted, delays a timing of causing the air bag to inflate and deploy more compared to in the case that the seat is facing the collision side.
Side airbag apparatus and vehicle seat including the same
[Problem] To provide a side airbag apparatus capable of quickly and properly restraining a passenger in the initial stage of deploying an airbag, along with a vehicle seat including this side airbag apparatus. [Resolution means] The airbag includes: a first chamber which is deployed towards the front of the side support part of the seat; a second chamber which starts being deployed inside the first chamber in the vehicle width direction prior to this first chamber; and a gas guide which is arranged in the first chamber so as to introduce the expansion gas (emitted from the inflator) into the second chamber. An internal vent hole, through which the expansion gas introduced by the gas guide flows into the second chamber, is formed at the boundary part between the first chamber and the second chamber. The second chamber includes: an upper region and a lower region; and an intermediate region disposed between the upper region and the lower region. In addition, at least one of the upper region or the lower region is configured to be deployed so as to protrude more to the front of the vehicle than the intermediate region.
VEHICLE OCCUPANT PROTECTION DEVICE
A vehicle occupant protection device has an airbag main body that is formed as a single integrated bag body that covers a head portion of a vehicle occupant and includes a forward-inflating portion housed in a headrest or in a seat back of a vehicle seat, and which inflates and deploys when supplied with gas, and which inflates on a seat front side of the head portion, and a pair of left and right side-inflating portions which inflate on seat side portions of the head portion. This vehicle occupant protection device also has a sub-bag portion that is provided in at least one of the forward-inflating portion and the side-inflating portions, and that, when an internal pressure inside the airbag main body reaches a predetermined value or greater, inflates after receiving an inflow of gas from at least one of the forward-inflating portion and the side-inflating portions.
REAR SEAT AIRBAG MODULE
A rear vehicle seat airbag module configured to be mounted to a portion of a seat back of a front vehicle seat comprising an inflator and an inflatable cushion comprising a lower portion, an upper portion and an external tether connecting the lower portion and the upper portion. The inflator provides inflation gas to the inflatable cushion and the inflatable cushion is configured to deploy forward of an occupant seated in a rear seat of a vehicle by curving away from the occupant. The external tether is configured to control a trajectory of the deployment of the inflatable cushion by pulling the upper portion toward the lower portion to curve the inflatable cushion such that the upper portion is located above the lower portion.
PASSENGER PROTECTING DEVICE
A passenger protecting device including: an airbag device including an airbag that receives a supply of gas from an inflator and is inflated and expanded, by a front expanding portion that includes a front inflating portion to be inflated and expanded at a seat front side of the head portion and at least one of a chest portion and shoulder portions of the passenger, and a pair of left and right lateral expanding portions that include lateral inflating portions that are connected to the front expanding portion and are inflated and expanded at sides of the head portion of the passenger; and a position changing device that changes an inflated and expanded position of the airbag in a seat transverse direction, in accordance with a direction of collision of a collision body with respect to the vehicle seat.
VEHICLE OCCUPANT PROTECTION DEVICE
A vehicle occupant protection device includes: an airbag structured as a single bag that is configured to cover a head area of a vehicle occupant, the airbag being stowed at a headrest or seatback of a vehicle seat, the airbag receiving a gas supply and inflating and expanding toward a seat front side, and the airbag including a front inflation portion that is configured to be inflated at the seat front relative to the head area and a left and right pair of side inflation portions that are connected to the front inflation portion and configured to be inflated at seat sides relative to the head area; and an opening portion that is provided at the airbag, is configured to cover the head area from the seat front side or a seat side, and is openable after the inflation and expansion of the airbag.
OCCUPANT PROTECTION APPARATUS
An occupant protection apparatus includes: an airbag configured to be stored in a head rest or a seat back of a vehicle seat, and the airbag being formed as a single bag that is configured to cover a head of an occupant and including a front inflating part and a right and left pair of lateral inflating parts; a three-point seat belt device including webbing equipped with a lap belt and a shoulder belt, and a belt take-up mechanism, and the belt take-up mechanism applying tension to the webbing; and a control unit that, in the event that an impact to the vehicle has been predicted or detected, activates the belt take-up mechanism before inflating and deploying the airbag.
CYCLIST PROTECTION APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE AND VEHICLE
A cyclist protection apparatus for a vehicle includes including a front section that protrudes forward from a boarding section and includes an upper surface formed by a hood. The cyclist protection apparatus includes a hood latch and a cyclist airbag device. The hood latch is capable of releasing a closed state of the hood such that a front of the hood is openable. The cyclist airbag device is configured to be disposed in the front section below the hood and deploy a cyclist airbag. The cyclist airbag device is configured to deploy the cyclist airbag forward from below the hood in either one of a state where the front of the hood is open and a state where the front of the hood is openable.
