VEHICLE SEAT AIRBAG
A seat includes a seat bottom and a seatback supported by the seat bottom. The seatback is pivotable relative to the seat bottom. The seatback includes a front defining an occupant seating area. An airbag is supported by the seatback and is inflatable to an inflated position. The airbag extends from the front into the occupant seating area in the inflated position. A computer has a processor and a memory storing instructions executable by the processor to control inflation of the airbag based on an angle of the seatback relative to the seat bottom.
Anchor pretensioner module for seat belt
An anchor pretensioner module for a seat belt includes: an anchor which is disposed at a side of a seat cushion, and to which a tongue of the seat belt is fastened, a base which is provided at a lower side of the anchor, the base having a first operating part, which generates an explosive pressure, provided at a rear of the base, and a second operating part, which generates the explosive pressure, provided at a front of the base, a first wire which is connected to the base and the anchor, and allows the anchor to be moved downward when the first operating part is operated, and a second wire which is provided on the base, and moves the first wire while being inserted into the base when the second operating part is operated to allow the anchor to be moved forward while moving downward, so that a relative location of the anchor is moved when a collision occurs to restrain a passenger's body.
SLIDE FOR SEAT
A slide for a vehicle seat, comprising a female rail having at least one substantially planar wall, a male rail also having at least one substantially planar wall, mounted to slide relative to the female rail, the female rail surrounding the male rail with the substantially planar wall of the female rail facing the substantially planar wall of the male rail, and a position sensor integral with the substantially planar wall of the male rail and provided between the substantially planar wall of the male rail and the substantially planar wall of the female rail, protruding from the substantially planar wall of the male rail towards the substantially planar wall of the female rail.
SLIDE FOR SEAT
A slide for a vehicle seat, comprising a female rail having at least one vertical side wall, a male rail also having at least one vertical side wall, mounted to slide relative to the female rail, the female rail surrounding the male rail with the vertical side wall of the female rail facing the vertical side wall of the male rail, a position sensor comprising a means for measuring the surrounding magnetic field fixed to the vertical side wall of the male rail by means of a spring member, and arranged between the substantially planar wall of the male rail and the substantially planar wall of the female rail and oriented towards the substantially planar wall of the female rail.
Vehicle lap bar with airbag
A seat includes a seatback that defines a first axis extending between a top and a bottom of the seatback. The seatback defines a second axis perpendicular to the first axis. The seat includes a lap bar supported by the seatback. The lap bar is translatable along the first axis and rotatable about the second axis. The seat includes an airbag supported by the lap bar.
Seat arrangement with dynamic seat positioning system
A seat arrangement for a vehicle includes a first seat including an airbag module having an inflatable airbag, and a second seat positionable adjacent to the first seat. The second seat includes a pivotable seatback that is pivotable between an upright use position and a forward pivoted position, and a movement mechanism associated with the seatback for moving the seatback from the use position to the pivoted position. The arrangement further includes a control system configured to actuate the movement mechanism to move the seatback of the second seat from the use position to the pivoted position when the second seat is unoccupied and upon detection of a potential vehicle impact, so that the airbag of the airbag module of the first seat may deploy between an occupant of the first seat and the seatback of the second seat.
Front airbag device for vehicle
A front airbag device for a vehicle is proposed. In the front airbag device, an airbag cushion is mounted in front of a passenger and is expanded to be positioned at a front surface of the passenger, a triangular main tether and a triangular support tether are positioned inside the airbag cushion, and one side of the main tether and one side of the support tether are spaced apart from each other and are coupled to the airbag cushion in a sewn manner, so that the main tether and the support tether support a front surface portion of the airbag cushion to protect a front surface of the passenger.
ROOF AIRBAG SYSTEM AND VEHICLE
A roof airbag system includes a roof airbag, a lifting mechanism, a collision sensor, memory, and a processor coupled to the memory. The roof airbag is provided at a roof portion of a vehicle, receives a supply of gas from an inflator and deploys toward an upper body side of a vehicle occupant sitting on a vehicle seat. The lifting mechanism is provided at a seat cushion side of the vehicle seat and lifts a thigh area of the vehicle occupant. A collision sensor detects a collision of the vehicle. The processor is configured to, when a seat back of the vehicle seat is tilted more than a predetermined angle to the seat rear side and the collision sensor detects a collision of the vehicle, control the lifting mechanism to lift the thigh area of the vehicle occupant and control operation of the inflator to deploy the roof airbag.
Occupant restraint system
A method for helping to protect an occupant of a vehicle having a side structure and a cabin with a seat for the occupant includes providing an airbag in a stored condition offset from a centerline of the seat. The airbag has a first portion and a second portion fluidly connected with one another. The first portion is inflated and deployed to a position lateral of the occupant. The second portion is inflated and deployed from the first portion to a position in front of the occupant.
