Method for Operating an Identification Device of a Seat, as Well as an Identification Device
20240017691 · 2024-01-18 ·

A method for operating an identification device of a seat of a motor vehicle, in which an identification of a child car seat or an adult on the seat is carried out by an electronic computing device, and in which, depending on the identification, an airbag apparatus of the seat is activated, and in which a relative variance is determined from a ratio of a pressure variance of a pressure on the seat and an acceleration variance of an acceleration of the motor vehicle during a movement of the motor vehicle and, depending on the relative variance, the identification is carried out and the airbag apparatus is activated. The method further includes determining a speed variance of a speed of the motor vehicle by the electronic computing device and, depending on the determined speed variance, deciding whether the identification is carried out during the movement of the motor vehicle.

Temperature Sensing Child Safety Seat

A temperature sensing child safety seat for preventing hyperthermia and hypothermia includes a safety seat that is configured to secure a child in a vehicle. The safety seat comprises a base that defines an interior space. A power module, a microprocessor, and a communications module are coupled to the base and positioned in the interior space. A plurality of sensors is coupled to the safety seat. The microprocessor is operationally coupled to the power module, the communications module, and the sensors. The sensors are configured to measure a temperature and to communicate a temperature reading to the microprocessor. The microprocessor is positioned, in an event the temperature reading deviates from a prespecified range, to compel the communications module to alert emergency personnel.

BIOMETRIC FREQUENCY
20200086817 · 2020-03-19 · ·

A plurality of frequency orthogonal signals are transmitted into a person. At least one of the plurality of frequency orthogonal signals is received at a receiving antenna or conductor. The received signal is measured. Characteristics of the received signal are used to establish a result related to that person.

Method and device for detecting an object in a vehicle

A child safety seat includes a restraining device, and an alert device and a switch serially connected in a series circuit. The restraining device includes a strap and a tether connector provided at a free end of the strap, the restraining device having an idle position and a deployed position, the restraining device being arranged in the deployed position to engage with a corresponding structure provided in a vehicle for restraining the child safety seat. The switch is operatively coupled to the restraining device and has an open state and a closed state, each of the open state and the closed state of the switch uniquely corresponding to one of the idle position and the deployed position of the restraining device. The alert device is activable to emit an alert signal when the series circuit is closed.

CHILD SEAT WITH, AIRBAG, PRETENSIONER SUPPRESSION

A child seat (56) detecting means employing a magnet and sensor (141) for detecting whether a child seat (56) is mounted on the passenger seat (14, 15). A controller (40) in response to a signal from the sensor (141) will prevent activation of a pretensioner or belt tightener (65) from tensioning the seat belt or webbing (55) which is often positioned about or through the child seat (56) and/or for preventing an inflator (34) from expanding an airbag (26) when a child seat (56) is detected on either the front or rear passenger seat (14, 15).

Methods and systems for generating training and executing a model for detecting safety seat events
11964623 · 2024-04-23 · ·

There is provided a computer implemented method for executing a model, for detecting safety seat events, comprising: receiving a plurality of records, each represents measurements taken by a motion sensor mounted on a child safety seat or a base of a child safety seat installed in a vehicle while the vehicle is static or in motion; executing at least one model to classify each of the plurality of records; detecting an occurrence of a child related event based on outputs of the execution of the at least one model; and activating a protection mechanism by a protection mechanism unit according to the detected occurrence of child related event.

Accident Monitoring in a Child Safety Seat

A child safety seat accident detection system that has a device such as an accelerometer for determining an acceleration of the seat, and a processor, operably connected to the device for determining an acceleration of the seat, and that is configured to judge, based at least on the determined acceleration, if the seat has been in a motor vehicle accident.

Child Seat

This disclosure relates to a child transportation device which may be a child seat or a stroller, or other device. The child seat comprises a basket and a base; the basket is arranged on the base. The basket is provided with a lifting handle. The child transportation device has a portion of the device configured to change color with temperature. The child transportation device may be provided with a temperature-sensing coating having the color change with the temperature change property. The temperature sensitive coating can be located anywhere on the child transportation device visible to external observers. The child seat is simple in structure and convenient to operate; and the temperature where a child locates is observed conveniently in a vehicle driving process or during indoor and outdoor conversion.

DETERMINING AND RESPONDING TO AN INTERNAL STATUS OF A VEHICLE

Aspects of the disclosure relate to determining and responding to an internal state of a self-driving vehicle. For instance, an image of an interior of the vehicle captured by a camera mounted in the vehicle is received. The image is processed in order to identify one or more visible markers at predetermined locations within the vehicle. The internal state of the vehicle is determined based on the identified one or more visible markers. A responsive action is identified action using the determined internal state, and the vehicle is controlled in order to perform the responsive action.
